00:00The second phase of Skills Up Net Philippines was launched by the Asian Development Bank.

00:06DTI has created new programs for the training of hundreds of workers.

00:11BN Manalo of PTV has news for the country.

00:17To address the challenges facing the workforce, especially in the so-called high-growth industries,

00:24the Skills Up Net Philippines Phase 2 was formally launched by the Asian Development Bank.

00:29The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority,

00:34Department of Trade and Industry, and Philippine Trade Training Center Global MSME Academy are involved.

00:39This is the main strategy that will provide skills to Filipino workers

00:45for the development of the Philippine economy.

00:48The strength of the work is focused on the ability of people in the production of goods or services.

01:00with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market.

01:04We do training for this for the MSMEs so that they can really become better at their skills

01:11and better also even they learn more so that they can also work in other industries

01:18or industries that are thriving.

01:29We need to make sure that specific industrial sectors are future-proofed,

01:59are up-skilled. Opportunities for re-skilling and up-skilling is provided to as many industry

02:07players as they possibly can, most importantly for medium, small, and micro enterprises.

02:14The program highlights the implementation of the Memorandum of Agreement.

02:18This is a collaborative effort to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises in the country.

02:25Actually, the sun comes out not tomorrow but today.

02:29We in PTTC are truly honored to be in the forefront of this significant program

02:35that will capitalize on the existing and to be acquired skills of the Filipino workforce.
