00:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines Peace and Development Office commemorated
00:04the World and National Hijab Day with the theme
00:06The Hijab and Uniform, Symbols of Strength, Unity and Peace.
00:10A dialogue with veiled or hijab-wearing women was held,
00:14giving importance to Senator Robin Hood Padilla's Senate Bill No. 1272
00:18and its counterpart House Bill No. 5693 in the House of Representatives,
00:22which declares February 1 of every year as National Hijab Day.
00:26Our very own Princess Habibah Seripaudak,
00:29the first Muslim TV news presenter in the history of Philippine television,
00:32together with Director Samira Gutok of the Office of Senator Robin Hood Padilla,
00:37were welcomed by hijabi troopers, women soldiers who aren't Muslims
00:41but chose to wear hijab displaying their respect and oneness to the Muslim community.
