00:00Perhaps the most complex sport to try to solve this problem across all the different things
00:05we just highlighted, you know, broadcasting it, managing commercial load, uh, trying to
00:10manage pace of play across, you know, again, to your point, multiple different arenas.
00:15I mean, there are 18 different arenas, you know, versus just one for any other major
00:20professional sport. Uh, so, you know, that, that the gambling aspect, but also how it ties into
00:26on-course spectators and individual players. It's, it's, it's a, it's a really complex one.
00:32Um, and I think it boils down to, you know, in my mind, it's like, I think people are
00:35really always going to watch the majors, the Ryder cup, the players championship.
00:41And I think they're warming up to things that feel very different. Like TGL. It's just like,
00:47I think it goes back to something we've talked about a lot. It's like, just when they're lower
00:51profile tournaments, just sell us that type of, you know, don't, don't, don't say it's something
00:57different than what it is. I always will find doesn't matter what golf term it is. You and I
01:03both will enjoy it. Yes. A hundred percent. Like I was really excited to watch Andrew Novak and
01:08Sam Stevens, two guys. So I was looking forward to see if they'd be able to get it done, but
01:12I can understand Joe Schmoe who just wants to watch, um, whether it be Sergio Garcia and John
01:18Rahm battle, um, in a past farmer's insurance open, how that would be good TV. I mean, yes,
01:24we miss the live players and that's where, you know, I, I go back and forth as a PGA tour player
01:30and how frustrated I get from the whole situation that we're in. But I mean, if we have to just,
01:37I mean, the signature events are going to be good. Right. But I haven't talked to many PGA tour
01:42players that are, that have really liked the signature events and the layout of it. There's
01:47very few that are like, yeah, this is great. Um, and not many others though. A lot of veterans
01:53hate it. A lot of, of course the middle guys hate it. I just think that the old system was,
01:59was, was a little bit better. Yeah. I mean, I, I, I think again, with a less informed perspective
02:05than the one that you have having talked to these guys, it seems to me that anytime you're trying to
02:11solve a problem in a reactionary way, it's not as good as you coming up with something that,
02:17you know, is, is being devised because you want to create more entertainment value. You want to
02:21create something that, that has merit for competition. Like if what they're trying to do is
02:26create closed shop events to get guys money because they don't want them to go to live.
02:30That's a pretty reactionary move that they're making. The guys do it though, but players used
02:36to, you know, go play events they wanted to play and that fit their schedule and fit their games.
02:41Now they can't do it. They have to play the signature event schedule,
02:44regardless if they liked playing at these golf courses or not.
