00:00Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard responded to a Filipino fisherman

00:08who had a hard time breathing in the sea and got seasick.

00:12While that was happening, a ship from China approached the town of Zambales

00:18but it was hit by a PCG.

00:22How? With the help of Ma'am Gonzales.

00:25This ship was almost unable to reach the Philippine Coast Guard or PCG

00:34because of the strong waves in the sea of Zambales this Monday.

00:38The PCG received a distress call from a fishing boat

00:4317 nautical miles from Silangin Island

00:46because one of the boat's passengers was having a hard time breathing.

00:49The PCG medical team also got on board.

00:52But it was too late because their boat was already damaged.

00:56In order to bring the boat back to Zambales,

00:59they used a crane and boarded a BRP Cabra.

01:02According to the PCG, the China Coast Guard had nothing to do with the fisherman's accident.

01:08But it also did not help despite the Philippine Coast Guard's request.

01:13What they did was they still shadowed the Filipino fishing boat and coast guard vessel

01:20which made it very hard for the Filipino fishing boat to maneuver

01:24to get near to our coast guard vessel BRP Cabra.

01:29Yesterday morning, BRP Cabra was able to bring the fisherman's boat to Subic Port.

01:35The Philippine Coast Guard acted as if they were being shadowed by China.

01:40The China Coast Guard Vessel 3304 was only 72 nautical miles from the town of Zambales.

01:47The only reason why it was able to get near again at a distance of 72-78 nautical miles

01:54is because the Chinese Coast Guard took the opportunity

01:58when the BRP Cabra approached the fishing vessel that we rescued.

02:05Since the BRP Cabra was in Subic, the PCG deployed BRP Teresa Magbanwa instead.

02:11Aside from the CCG Vessel 3304, there were three other China Coast Guard Vessels

02:16that were detected in Bajo de Masinloc.

02:18This is Philippine Coast Guard Vessel BRP Teresa Magbanwa, MRRB 9701.

02:24In accordance with Republic Act 12064, the Philippine Maritime Zones Act,

02:30the United Nations Convention of the Law of the Sea of which you are a signatory state,

02:35and the 2016 Arbitral Award, we are conducting maritime security operation.

02:40This is China Coast Guard Vessel 3304. Please do not compromise with my sailing safety. Over.

02:48The PCG did not respond.

02:50You are advised that you are currently sailing within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone,

02:55approximately 82 nautical miles west of Caponis Point, Zambales, Philippines.

03:00You do not possess any legal authority to patrol within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone.

03:06You are directed to depart immediately.

03:09BRP Teresa Magbanwa was successful.

03:12Earlier this morning, the China Coast Guard Vessel was again within 88 nautical miles from Zambales.

03:17The concrete plan that the Coast Guard has is one, to make sure that our presence will push them back,

03:24away from Zambales.

03:28And secondly, for us to prevent them from normalizing this illegal behavior.
