00:00In front of the PNP, more than 3,000 police officers were sampled after the 2024 case was filed.

00:18To ensure the proper service to the country, PNP continues to clean their ranks against the trusted members of the Philippine National Police.
00:27In 2024, 5,457 police officers were involved in various cases where 3,751 administrative cases were filed.
00:40From the said number, almost 3,000 were given a penalty, more than 2,000 were acquitted,
00:48while more than 1,000 were suspended, including colonels, lieutenants, majors and lieutenants.
00:56More than a dozen were removed from the service, according to the chief of the Philippine National Police.
01:02The number of police officers who were sampled proves that they are doing their duty to clean their ranks while following the due process.
01:12Just last week, PNP chief of the Philippine National Police General Rommel Francisco Marvil was charged with the so-called planting of evidence
01:25and mishandling of a high-profile case involving the sampling of more than 700 kilos of shabu worth Php 6.7 billion in Tondo, Manila in October 2022.
01:39The chief of the Philippine National Police also added that they remain firm in their commitment to carry out internal cleansing.
