00:00The government promised to answer the questions that should be answered regarding the planting of evidence by the police and the wrong holding of a high-profile drug case in which shabu are involved.
00:15We will also look into the possibility of the Umanoy reward system being involved.

00:27Angelique, the Department of Justice of DOJ believes that the case against the 30 police, including the two generals,
00:34regarding the planting of evidence and mishandling of a high-profile drug case involving more than 900 kilos of shabu worth Php 67 billion in Tondo, Manila in October 2022.
00:50The case was filed in the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 175.
00:56Among the cases filed is the violation of Republic Act 1965 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act against Lieutenant General Benjamin Santos, Jr.
01:06and Brigadier General Narciso Domingo and 28 others.
01:11Here is the statement of Richard Anthony Padillon, the Prosecutor General of the National Prosecution Service.
01:18We believe that the evidence is strong enough to warrant a conviction because we have this new policy in the department now
01:26that we only make sure that the cases that are elevated in court are cases which will be able to stand the rigors of trial and end up in eventual conviction.
01:36Angelique, the DOJ filed a warrant of arrest against the arrested police.
01:42Here is the statement of D.I.L.C. Secretary Sunvi Cremulia and Raul Vasquez of the Department of Justice.
01:51What we have done now for the first time is to show conclusively that the criminal enterprise involving the selling,
02:00the arrest, the storage, the intent to distribute, and the intent to cover up all in one day.
02:11So it shows, that's why I said a grand conspiracy of a criminal enterprise.
02:16We may be initiating the criminal cases in due time and that would be initiated soon.
02:24We will re-evaluate pending cases in order to have quality cases and evidence-supported litigation against those responsible.
02:36Angelique, the DOJ said that the officials filed a legal arrest against a police who is said to be involved in drug trade
02:45and another individual who was accused of drug trafficking.
02:48This is based on what the police are saying.
02:51A hot pursuit operation against Police Master Sergeant Rodolfo Mayo on October 9 and a bypass operation against Ney Atadero on October 8.
03:00The DOJ found that the arrest was simulated.
03:04The CCTV footage shown by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG and the National Police Commission or NAPOCOM
03:12showed that there was no collision with the police.
03:16Based on the CCTV footage, we can see that Mayo was posted on October 8.
03:21He was left behind when he was arrested on October 9.
03:24We can see that Mayo was taken to WPD Lending, a site linked to drug bypass,
03:30while Atadero was observed freely moving in the same location.
03:36Angelique, the DOJ plans to backtrack its investigation from 2016 against the police who are possibly responsible for manipulating recovered illegal drugs
03:47because of the so-called reward system.
