00:00Rangers have ended this week with a victory, a 3-1 win here at Paradise against Dundee
00:06United. For the first time this season, Philippe Clement's men have come back from a goal behind
00:11to win a game of football. They trailed to a Sam Dalby 19th minute opener, looked a bit
00:16leggy after their exertions at Old Trafford against Man Utd on Thursday but to their immense
00:21credit they came back and won a goal from Mohamed Diomande on 30th minute, put them
00:25level at the break. The fight to goal by Robin Propper from 49 minutes gave them something
00:31to hold on to and in the end Cyril Desser scored a quite fabulous strike, not probably
00:35quite as good as his goal at Old Trafford but pretty impressive nonetheless. A raspy
00:39left foot finish from 86 minutes to give them the victory, moving them to within 10 points
00:45to Celtic, although Celtic obviously have the game in hand, and 13 points clear of Dundee
00:49United in third place. Rangers ravaged by injuries, they had 11 players, senior players,
00:57not here at Paradise. They won't be particularly pleased that Mohamed Diomande picked up a
01:02red card in stoppage time. Controversial, manager Philippe Clement wasn't happy with
01:06it at all. It was given for an altercation with Kevin Holt where there looked to be a
01:11slight attempt to slap the Dundee United player. VAR actually told referee Nick Walsh to go
01:17and have a look at the monitor and he stuck with his original decision which was a red
01:21card. Clement says Rangers plan to appeal given they have so many players out injured,
01:25no real surprise there. But at the end of a trying week I suppose Clement will be delighted
01:30just to get three points to get an away victory, only their fourth of the season in the Premiership
01:34and end that hoodoo of not showing fortitude to come back from a goal behind. They take
01:40on Union Saint-Gilles at Ibrox on Thursday night when they look to secure either a seeded
01:46play-off spot or potentially a last-16 place directly if they were to beat the Belgians
01:51and then they're back in domestic action against Ross Kenty. It's a marathon for Rangers right
01:55now, so many fixtures and so many players unavailable. Clement not sure when players
02:00like Vaclav Cerny, Leon Baligan or Conor Barron will return. They all missed out here
02:05after being injured at Old Trafford. Dundee United remain third, they'll maybe see this
02:09as an opportunity missed given that they could have capitalised on the teams beneath them,
02:12Aberdeen Motherwell and Hibbs, all not picking up victories at the weekend but they're still
02:17in a very strong position and in fact had plenty of chances here. Sam Dalby scored,
02:21missed a couple, Jack Butler and the Rangers could be in some good shapes. They look in
02:24good shape as they attempt to secure European football in the second half of the season.
02:30Here at a very chilly Tanadice, it finished Dundee United 1, Rangers 3.
