00:00Dens Park, all quiet apart from a couple of fans behind me singing jubilant songs because
00:07Dundee have won the final Scottish Cup fourth round tie and probably the most exciting one
00:12by a goal to nil against Dundee United, a first minute header from Simon Murray was
00:16the difference. Dundee's first win in this competition against United since 1956, would
00:21you believe it, a 69 year hoodoo has been ended. Really entertaining match, maybe not
00:26the prettiest one on the eye but Dundee really showed a lot of resolve and character to hold
00:30on as United threw the kitchen sink at them, they had so many chances in the last 20 minutes
00:35but Dundee keeper Trevor Carson made some good saves and they carried some luck with
00:38Christian Trapanowski hitting the post very late on. Dundee will take on Adrianians in
00:44the last 16 and given they haven't won the Scottish Cup since 1910, a 115 year wait to
00:50get their hands on the trophy, could that be ended this time around? Dundee certainly
00:53are improving under Tony Dougherty, that's them drawing with both halves of the old firm
00:59and beating Dundee United in their past three fixtures and Dougherty spoke after the match
01:03about his hopes for this current set of players, they're going along quite nicely although
01:07they do go to Celtic Park on Saturday, no rest for the wicked that's for sure but they'll
01:12party long into the night at the dark blue side of the city after finally getting the
01:16bragging rights in the Scottish Cup derby. It finished here, Dundee won Dundee United
01:20nil.
