00:00Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin answered one of the various issues from the International Criminal Court's impeachment to the controversial Senate Bill 1979.

00:13That's what Kenneth Paciente has to say.

00:18The position of the Philippines on the issue of the International Criminal Court or ICC is still unchanged.

00:25According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, although the withdrawal of the country is already effective,

00:31he is ready to help the government if the ICC has a request to give the Philippines a particular individual in their jurisdiction.

00:40He is ready if the ICC will pass the request to the International Police or Interpol.

00:46He pointed out that Interpol is a committee where the country is also benefiting from the withdrawal of other cases

00:53and he needs to respect any request of the ICC in the Philippines.

00:57The position is, we are no longer in the jurisdiction of the ICC, but that does not necessarily mean, because of what I just said,

01:05that does not necessarily mean that the order of the ICC enforced through the Interpol is to be ignored.

01:15I'm not saying that the ICC is being ignored, but the Interpol that we are giving.

01:23In the discussion of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte,

01:28the palace denied that the President has no power to dictate the low status of the Congress

01:34if the impeachment complaint will be continued or not.

01:37That is the answer of the palace in the statement of Makabayan Block that it seems that the President is preventing

01:42the impeachment complaint against the Vice President.

01:46The point of the secret is that if the President issued a statement about the discussion,

01:50it is just an opinion and not a dictation of what the Congress should do.

01:55This is a co-equal branch of the Executive Branch of the government
