00:00Bradford City's 2025 form has been very positive so far. They remain unbeaten and are knocking
00:09on the door of the playoffs.
00:11Graham Alexander's side are fast becoming one of the teams to beat in League 2 at present,
00:16but they will know that this form cannot be temporary if they are to achieve their aim
00:20of being in the playoffs come the end of the season in May. Against Walsall, they will
00:24face their biggest test of the calendar year so far, but their recent form should certainly
00:30create confidence going into the fixture at Valley Parade.
00:35Alexander made clear that his side must cut out any sloppiness if they are to keep progressing
00:41towards the end of the season in a good manner.
00:45It was great for the team, the whole team, the whole squad to get that clean sheet because
00:49A, it helped us win the game, but B, it's something that we feel as a group of people
00:55that we've not really got the data behind us to be proud about, to be honest. We haven't
01:02kept enough clean sheets this season, but without a doubt, we've got the players to
01:06do that and we've got the tactical side of it, but we've just got to cut out little bits
01:10of sloppiness. I thought that's what pleased me last week. There was only one little bit
01:17where we had to improve on. I wouldn't say it was a chance, it was a shot from 22 yards
01:22which Sam made us save at the end, but there was a little bit of us going off script just
01:27before that in their build-up play and that's what happens if we do. We can get cut open,
01:32but it was a great save from Sam. I think we've got the players there to keep many clean
01:36sheets and we have to start that run now.
01:40Keeping on script, as Alexander stated, will be key to performances remaining consistent
01:44for the Bantams for the remaining months of the League 2 campaign.
01:52In midweek, Bradford welcome Morecambe to Valley Parades, who sit just above Carlisle
01:57and in the relegation zone. That is of course another great opportunity for Graham Alexander
02:02and his sides, but they will look at the upcoming game against Walsall first as the chance to
02:08make a real statement about their intentions this season, with reaching the playoffs with
02:13the potential of promotion, as mentioned, very much the aim.
02:18What is encouraging though, is that as a club, Bradford are showing strong signs of
02:22competitiveness again, following several years of mediocrity, for a club that clearly has
02:27high potential. Graham Alexander is highlighting that this club can return to League 1 and
02:33possibly beyond in years to come. For now though, focus remains on the visit of Walsall
02:37to Valley Parades at the weekend. It will be a real indication of where Bradford are
02:41at going into the final months of the season.
02:45If they come through this test positively, then Alexander, his players and staff and
02:50the supporters could well indeed begin to get excited about what the rest of the season
02:54could bring for the Bantams.
