00:00So we have a stellar heavyweight right now.
00:09If you ask me, by that time when we went to Baku, we already knew the election results
00:14in the US, and so we expected, I mean the withdrawal is not a surprise.
00:23So we have to find ways and ensure that at the end of the day we still can progress.
00:32Is it easy?
00:33No.
00:34The US is the biggest economy in the world, in terms of emissions, they are number one.
00:39But we need to do our part, and I think just strengthen other cooperations with China,
00:45with the EU, among developing countries, with the newly emerging countries, to find
00:53how we can move forward and progress with regards to climate change.
00:57As I said earlier, it is their decision, but the world has to act and find ways to cooperate.
01:15Malaysia will continue to discuss and maintain relations with all diplomatic countries, including
01:22the US.
01:23I also had a meeting with the Deputy Climate Envoy in the COP29, and also with other US
01:32deputies.
01:33So we will continue to communicate with them, and at the same time, other countries, we have
01:41to increase our efforts and find ways to ensure that we can build a resilient future for
01:53climate change in the context of the US decision.
