00:13The loyal singer has filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery,
00:16alleging the media giant defamed him with a 2024 documentary claiming that the R&B star
00:22had a long history of sexually abusing women.
00:24Chris Brown's an amazing and talented musician,
00:28but let's call a thing a thing. He's an abuser of women, consistently.
00:34He's accusing the production company behind Chris Brown, A History of Violence,
00:38of promoting and publishing false information in their pursuit of likes,
00:42clicks, downloads, and dollars to the detriment of the R&B star,
00:46all while knowing it was full of lies and deception and violating basic journalistic
00:51principles. The Jane Doe who has made sexual assault accusations against Brown in the
00:55documentary is also named as a defendant in the complaint, as well as several individuals
01:00who appeared as talking heads in the doc. Brown is asking for $500 million in damages,
01:06a portion of which will be donated to survivors of sexual abuse. Warner Bros. Discovery and
01:12Ample Entertainment did not immediately respond to Billboard's request for comment.
