00:15Wanderlust, Italians love to travel, but 86% feels overwhelmed by the planning of their holidays.

00:28Culture, the room celebrates the National Day of Dialect and Local Languages,
00:32UNICAT inaugurated the academic year 2024-2025, Catholic University launches the Africa plan.
00:39Culture, Energie for Rome 2025 celebrates the commitment and talent of Roman citizens.
00:47Spend weeks worrying about the planning of the holidays,
00:51facing endless destinations and offers, but finding themselves more overwhelmed by the organization than enthusiastic for the departure.
00:58It is the phenomenon of Wanderlust, term coined by Skyscanner in collaboration with neurologist and neuroscientist Faye Begetti.
01:07Together they have worked to understand and face this modern phenomenon of Wanderlust,
01:12which translates into the paralyzing feeling of being lost in a sea of choices and offers,
01:17which makes it less likely to complete the booking of a trip.
01:21There are many Italian travelers to perceive such a feeling, as proven by the Skyscanner survey.
01:28Our research reveals very interesting data.
01:31For 21.51% of Italians, January is the crucial time for planning trips.
01:3882% struggle to decide the ideal destination.
01:4286% of Italians have declared that there is a risk of losing the best offers due to the excess of options and variables.
01:50The cost is always the most important element for choosing the destination, for almost all Italians, 96%.
01:58For this reason, Skyscanner offers concrete tools to combat Wanderlust.
02:03However, the research allows you to discover new destinations, less ordinary and with possible surprises,
02:09ordering flights from the lowest price.
02:12The search for multiple dates helps to find the most convenient days to travel.
02:17We have also developed other practical tools, the savings generator, price warnings and cheaper months.
02:26Skyscanner has also revealed the cheapest destinations from Italian airports for 2025,
02:32to simplify the choice and make holidays more affordable also from an economic point of view.
02:38For example, one of the surprises is Sofia, in Bulgaria at only 39 euros.
02:44Then, as an island, we have Corfu and Olbia at 70 euros.
02:48Finally, we have the most classic European capitals such as Budapest, Berlin and London, which range from 80 to 100 euros.
02:54With Skyscanner, Wanderlust will no longer be an obstacle.
02:58You can focus only on the pleasure of discovering new destinations, without any stress.
03:04Valuing quality made in Italy through the use of D.O.P. and E.G.P. ingredients,
03:09a commitment that McDonald's Italy has taken since 2008
03:13and that with the launch of the 7th edition of the My Selection line has chosen to renew.
03:18Already available in more than 750 restaurants throughout Italy,
03:22the premium sandwiches selected by Joe Bastianich contain 5 excellences of the Italian agri-food chain.
03:28The balsamic vinegar of Modena E.G.P., the Asian cheese D.O.P.,
03:32the Speck Alto Adige E.G.P., the Chioggia root E.G.P. and the apple of Alto Adige E.G.P.
03:37Presented in Italy for almost 40 years, only in 2024,
03:41McDonald's has invested more than 400 million euros in the country's agri-food sector,
03:46testifying to the commitment to promote the ingredients of excellence and the attention to local productions.
03:52We are also trying to find ways to also enhance the sectors in difficulty.
03:56In the last two years, for example, we have enhanced the tomato of Pacchino E.G.P.
04:01by putting it in our salads, which was a sector in difficulty due to foreign competition.
04:06And last year, instead, we were able to introduce the pear of Emilia-Romagna E.G.P.
04:10precisely to help a sector that was strongly in crisis due to climate change.
04:16For us, this is a commitment that continues over time
04:18and that is why it is now seven years since we launched the My Selection line
04:24with which we continue to give the opportunity to many customers,
04:28especially to young people, to taste the tastes and products of the various territories of our regions.
04:34A bridge business between McDonald's Italy, the consorts of Tutele, the local producers
04:39and Fondazione Equali Vita, with which McDonald's has been a valuable collaboration for years.
04:45In these years, 22 products have been brought to the McDonald's menu.
04:50They have really represented a very important thing,
04:53both in terms of value for the consorts and therefore for the branches,
04:57but above all in terms of education and knowledge of typical Italian agri-food products.
05:03The value of McDonald's, in this case,
05:06was not only to make eat quality products of E.G.P.
05:10but also to make known the excellences of our territory
05:14and I think this is a very important operation for the Italian system.
05:18Also present at the launch event, Gio Bastianich.
05:21The seventh year of My Selection, a great journey,
05:24I think to combine the quality of Made in Italy with an iconic brand like McDonald's,
05:30I am always pleased.
05:31As an American, McDonald's has always been a part of my life
05:35and I am happy to participate in this adventure with them
05:39because in the end we are making a great communication of quality,
05:45of quality products to people who have to taste them.
05:49So it is a privilege and an honor to be part of this.
05:54The National Day of Dialect and Local Languages,
05:57which takes place on January 17,
05:59established in 2013 by the Pro Loco National Union of Italy,
06:02celebrates its thirteenth edition this year.
06:05The President of the Chamber, Lorenzo Fontana,
06:08strongly wanted to remember this day with a ceremony in the Parliamentary Group Hall.
06:13I think it is a time of remarkable cultural and social relevance
06:19to reflect on their history, their beauty and their expressive power.
06:27Dialects and local languages are much more than simple expression tools.
06:32They are the mirror of our local identities
06:35that feed the sense of belonging to the land to which we belong and where we live.
06:43The Pro Loco National Union of Italy, through this day,
06:46continues to work so that the Italian linguistic heritage,
06:49in all its dialectal varieties, is not forgotten,
06:52but on the contrary it is exalted as a fundamental value for the collective cultural identity.
06:58The National Day of Dialect and Local Languages,
07:01established 13 years ago,
07:03wants to put at the center the value of our dialect,
07:08of our local languages.
07:10It is a value linked to the cultural identity,
07:13a value that best represents the link between man and his community,
07:19the birthplace.
07:21A way to continue the great work that the Pro Loco are doing
07:25in safeguarding the immaterial cultural heritage
07:29and that best represents the path of valuing
07:34the local cultural identities
07:37and what can be a way of developing our history,
07:41our culture, also in economic terms.
07:45The National Day of Dialect and Local Languages
07:48is also connected to the award Save Your Local Language.
07:51In this sense, the award Save Your Local Language
07:55wants to allow survival
07:58and underline the importance of these forms of expression.
08:03A day like today's is an important turning point.
08:11306,595 graduates from its constitution to date,
08:163,278 PhDs,
08:19666,738 diplomats in schools of specialization,
08:24perfection and university master's degrees.
08:27These are the numbers of the Catholic University of the Holy Heart of Milan
08:31that inaugurated the new academic year
08:33with the presence of the Minister of the University of Research,
08:36Anna Maria Bernini,
08:38the Nobel Peace Prize 2011,
08:40Leigh McBowie,
08:42and Ernest Aretija,
08:44Secretary General of the African Research University Alliance.
08:48In the inaugural speech,
08:50the magnificent Rector Elena Beccali,
08:52the first female Rector of the Catholic University,
08:55announced the Africa Plan,
08:57which aims to place the African continent
08:59at the heart of the educational projects
09:01of research and third mission.
09:03A university that wants to be a global university,
09:07an international microcosm already today,
09:09and is very convinced to further expand
09:13with strategic alliances and collaborations
09:16in all parts of the world, including Africa,
09:19where we already have many active projects
09:22and where we think that with the strength of the Education Power,
09:27we can make a contribution for a more sustainable development
09:31of the entire continent.
09:33With the Africa Plan,
09:35which already has 123 active projects
09:37with 40 African countries,
09:39the Catholic University aims to become
09:41the European university with the most relevant presence in Africa,
09:45through partnership with Ateneo and local institutions
09:49in the light of a mutual enrichment.
09:52I want to congratulate the Catholic University of Milan,
09:56I want to congratulate the Catholic University of Milan
09:59for this beautiful ceremony of the opening of the academic year
10:02and I congratulate them for their plans of partnership
10:05with the African continent.
10:07It is certainly a great initiative,
10:09but I also encourage them to obtain this partnership
10:13in a situation of mutual respect.
10:16Both parts of the world have skills
10:20that must be appreciated.
10:23So a commitment in a spirit of collective humanity
10:27and with this I mean that each person has his own talent,
10:31his own gifts,
10:33and it is necessary to emphasize this individual talent
10:36and at the core of all this
10:38there must be respect for human dignity.
10:43Recognizing and valuing the commitment and talent
10:46of individual citizens, business and reality of the third sector,
10:50who have distinguished themselves in the artistic, cultural, social,
10:53entrepreneurial and volunteering fields,
10:56contributing to making Rome a more dynamic and solidary city.
11:00The prestigious Energie per Roma award is based on these foundations,
11:04conceived by journalists and university professors
11:07Fabio Pompei and Alessandra Longi,
11:09organized by the European Center for Cultural Studies.
11:12Energie per Roma is that force that gives dynamism to society,
11:18these are often activities that take place in the dark, in silence,
11:23but what is brighter than those who work to give glory to their city
11:27and those who work instead to make their city more and more in step with the future.
11:32So for me it is really an honor to be here.
11:35The 2025 edition of the award
11:37is sponsored by the European Parliament
11:40and by the Lazio region,
11:42the Italian Confederation of Union of Intellectual Professions,
11:45presented by the CNEL,
11:46and the CESE of Bruxelles,
11:48of the Italian Foundation It
11:50and of the Università eCampus.
11:52I think that the Energie per Roma is born from a particular fact.
11:57Those who are born and live in Rome
11:59are immersed in a cultural and artistic heritage
12:02that inevitably is imprinted in their being.
12:07So we have the principle of harmony,
12:09of beauty,
12:10of proportions,
12:11of amazement,
12:12of innovation
12:13and also of the conservation of what has been
12:16in our cultural genome of Roman citizens,
12:19who are in some way also citizens of the world,
12:22because here, for Rome, everything has really passed.
12:26I think it is a collection of the most genuine and positive experiences
12:31for the city of Rome,
12:32which perhaps do not have, let's say, important scenarios,
12:36but which, like little ants,
12:38tearfully contribute to the life of the city.
12:41Among the institutions, there is also the Municipality of Rome.
12:44It is a beautiful manifestation.
12:47Our city is interested this year in an extraordinary event,
12:51which is the Jubilee of 2025,
12:54the Jubilee of Hope,
12:56as the Holy Father has renamed it.
12:59And there are so many energies that are in our city every day,
13:04under the social profile of volunteering,
13:07of charity,
13:08of business
13:09and of many other aspects that make our city more beautiful,
13:13strong and welcoming.
13:15Among the awards, Francesco Vaia,
13:17former director of the Spallanzani Hospital in Rome,
13:19and Skerdi Laid Faria of the Keit Clinic in Tirana.
13:23It is the recognition, a great job done by my colleagues,
13:28led by me at the time of Spallanzani,
13:31to get the country out of the pandemic.
13:33It was a great contribution,
13:35but we obviously needed the courage,
13:37the passion,
13:38the dedication of the Italians,
13:39who have all fought together
13:41and we defeated the virus.
13:43So, the energies, in my opinion, are the future of humanity,
13:47the future of this city,
13:48the future of all of us,
13:50especially when these energies are represented by the initiatives of young people.
13:55This is a very important award for me
13:58and it makes me very happy,
14:00not only for my career,
14:02but also for our everyday activities.
