00:00A part of a school in Malabon was set on fire.

00:03The face-to-face classes there were cancelled.

00:05We have the news from James Agustin.

00:11Residents were shocked when a fire broke out in a part of Tinajeros Elementary School in Malabon

00:17at around 11 p.m.

00:21The first alarm was raised.

00:23Three firetrucks of the Bureau of Fire Protection responded.

00:26Eight fire volunteer groups responded.

00:29It took almost 30 minutes for the fire to completely go out.

00:33I heard someone shouting for help.

00:36When I went out, I called the people there to call for rescue.

00:42When I went there, I saw a big fire.

00:46Mark, the security guard of the school,

00:48was about to fall from the right side of the burning classroom.

00:52He was helped by a barangay man who was really injured.

00:55We were shocked because a fire broke out suddenly.

01:00We tried to put out the fire, but it was too big.

01:05We couldn't handle it.

01:07I told them to turn off all the breakers.

01:08I was the only one at the gate.

01:10I told them to turn off all the firecrackers so we can enter.

01:12According to the BFP, two classrooms,

01:15a storage room,

01:16and a comfort room were set on fire at the top floor of the Veteran's Building.

01:20They also set the school on fire.

01:22Our school is still under investigation so we can be safe.

01:26It was difficult because when we arrived,

01:29one of the rooms was totally burned.

01:32But we were able to handle it.

01:36According to the BFP, the electrical system of the school

01:40where the fire happened should be investigated first.

01:42Because of the incident,

01:44the face-to-face classes of the students today

01:46at Tenejeros Elementary School were canceled.

01:49Modular learning will be conducted first.

01:51We will close it because we will check the electrical system

01:55to see what effect it had.
