00:00Now that it's the new year, many of us have a goal to be fit and healthy.
00:08But are you going to get fat if you only eat one meal a day?
00:13What kind of diet is this?

00:22If we're just going to lose weight, I have a plan.
00:26Because sharing is caring.
00:29I had a struggle after I gave birth to my son back in 2013.
00:35That is of course in terms of my weight loss.
00:39I noticed that whatever exercise I do, whatever diet I do, I don't seem to lose weight.
00:46That's when I found out that I have a hormonal problem.
00:50Aside from regular exercise, another secret of my weight loss is my diet.
00:59Where I only eat one meal a day.
01:03Yes, you heard it right.
01:06This is what we call one meal a day or OMAD.
01:11It was discovered by scientists around the 1970s.
01:17There was an experiment done.
01:19Not only one meal a day, but they also saw the benefits of prolonged fasting.
01:26Fasting allows our body to repair itself.
01:33OMAD or one meal a day can truly benefit an individual.
01:40Struggle is real at first.
01:43But because of my discipline, I achieved the results I was hoping for.
01:48It really benefited me.
01:50While fasting, I can see the benefits aside from weight loss.
01:54It's not my primary goal.
01:57I just want to be healthy.
01:59My first goal is to become healthier.
02:02When I did OMAD, I realized that I feel lighter.
02:07I can sleep better.
02:09My cravings are gone.
02:12Consistency is the key.
02:14After a few years, here I am.
02:19Sometimes, it's our second nature.
02:21We want to be the next.
02:24We want to be fast.
02:25There's no available doctor.
02:27But you know, our body is one.
02:29And I take it to heart.
02:31I practice what I preach.
02:33I make sure that we tell the doctor everything we need to say
02:38so that we can be guided.
02:40We shouldn't just move around.
02:43Especially when it comes to dieting.
02:4625-year-old tattoo artist and virtual assistant, Christine,
02:50only eats once a day.
02:54She used to weigh 72 kilos.
03:01Because of this, Christine decided to lose weight.
03:05Fat, slim, and chubby.
03:07Those are the two words that I don't want people to tell me.

04:49who say that the earlier you stop eating,
04:54especially for some, they recommend to stop eating
04:58after 2 p.m.
05:01You can start eating as early as 9 a.m.

05:13either you start eating at 9 a.m.
05:17or within that period, 9 to 2 p.m.

05:47since I started dieting a long time ago.

05:59she's only 52 kilos now.
