00:00Good afternoon from Bodymore Heath where Unai Emery has held his press conference ahead of Saturday's match at Arsenal.
00:08The game is coming thick and fast again for Villa, 1-0 win at Everton on Wednesday night, Arsenal on Saturday and then next Tuesday away at Monaco in the Champions League.
00:20Now one player who doesn't sound like he's going to feature tomorrow and doesn't sound like he's going to feature for Villa ever again frankly is Diego Carlos.
00:28Unai Emery confirming today that the club are in talks to sell the defender.
00:34Fenerbahce who were very keen on Carlos earlier in the week and then seem to have cooled that interest are back in negotiations and that is looking at the defender's most likely destination at this point.
00:47Now it's been a bit strange with Carlos, Unai Emery said before that he has been suffering a small injury which is why he hasn't featured since the 2-2 draw with Brighton on December 30th.
00:58Carlos of course earlier this week responding to a fan account and saying I'm not injured.
01:03Well Unai Emery today saying that the medical report this morning said that the defender wasn't feeling great, reading to that what you will.
01:11And that he's unlikely to be involved against Arsenal and it does seem that he's going to be on his way.
01:16And that will mean Villa bringing in another defender, Loic Bardet at Sevilla is among their top targets.
01:22For the meantime of course it means that Tyrone Mings is going to keep his place in the team.
01:30Now Mings has played really well since coming into the team following Pau Torres' injury at the start of the month.
01:41But he's not since returning to fitness from his own long-term injury, he's not played this many games this close together.
01:49So it's going to be a bit of a test for Tyrone Mings you feel over the next few days, he's effectively going to play three games in the space of six days.
01:56So it'll be interesting to see how he holds up but Unai Emery basically speaking very warmly of Mings, of his attitude, of the work he's done to get back on the pitch.
02:05And just how much of a leader he is in this Villa team.
02:08Now it's interesting that since Torres got injured, since Mings came into the team Villa have conceded three goals in four games.
02:16So they're not conceding as many as they were before and they're going to go to Arsenal looking to follow up last year's fantastic 2-0 win at the Emirates.
02:24Against an Arsenal team which is once again challenging for the title.
