00:00More than 3,000 families in Eastern Visayas will be given a house by the government on this day.

00:19Yes, now, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is leading the distribution of housing units

00:25for the victims of the Super Typhoon Yolanda here in Eastern Visayas.

00:303,517 housing units were distributed by the government to individuals who were affected by the Typhoon Yolanda in 2013.

00:42The Chief Executive will be the one to lead the turnover ceremony of the housing projects

00:47under the Yolanda Permanent Housing Program or YPHP of the National Housing Authority.

00:53As part of the government's distribution, the units in Leyte, which includes Cool Spring Residences,

00:59Riverside Community Residences, Mont Eagleville Subdivision, Coconut Grove Village, Dagami Townville, and Pastranaville,

01:08as well as the housing units in Marabutville Sites 1 and 2 in Samar, and the Kulaba Housing Project in Biliran,

01:15the floor area of each housing unit is estimated at 22 square meters to 28.6 square meters.

01:22It also has a room and extra space in case the beneficiaries want to improve it.

01:28It's a big deal because aside from the free house and lot, they won't have to pay for the amortization.

01:34The NHA also ensured that these housing projects were built in safe places.

01:40This is to ensure that the calamity of the beneficiaries will not happen again.

01:45The government hopes that the Yolanda Survivors will be able to recover completely.

01:50Until December 31, 2024, almost 2,000 of these units were occupied by the beneficiaries

02:01The NHA assured that they will continue their efforts to finish all the projects under the YPHP before the end of the year.
