02:20I'm Shrantra Pathi. I'm an advisor at the Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttar Pradesh.
02:25and the Swachh Sujal village in Mahakumbh is the nodal operator
02:30What is the concept and what kind of things are there in Swachh Sujal?
02:34The theme of this village is the solution of drinking water, the new identity of my village
02:40The thought behind this is that when the water life mission was announced by the Prime Minister on 15th August 2019
02:50after that what kind of changes came in rural life
02:54You can see that our focus is on Bundelkhand and Bindh villages
02:58In Bundelkhand, where there used to be a lot of water scarcity
03:02You must have seen that water used to come from the train
03:05In our village also, you will see an old Bundelkhand
03:08Bundelkhand before 2017 and today's Bundelkhand
03:13We have tried to show the pictures of both Bundelkhand
03:17How there was a shortage of water, how there was a shortage of employment
03:20How Bundelkhand was a victim of ignorance
03:25But now in today's Bundelkhand, there are all kinds of facilities
03:29Whether it is a village hospital, health centre, toilet
03:33And water supply from tap to every house
03:36So we have shown this change of Bundelkhand
03:40Earlier our women, mothers and sisters used to drink water the whole day
03:46They used to start their day at 4 in the morning
03:49And start their day at 12 in the afternoon
03:52They used to spend a lot of time searching for water
03:55Today when water has reached every house through tap
03:59They have got a lot of facilities
04:02Our girls go to school
04:04Earlier they didn't go to school
04:06They were only worried about finding water
04:08So that worry is gone
04:10And because of that, water has reached every house
04:13You must have seen the changes in our village
04:16How water has helped in their education
04:19They have improved their health
04:22And they are getting employment through Jal Jeevan Mission
04:25For example, women have been trained to check water through a field test kit
04:30And they get Rs. 20 for every sample
04:35So that brings them self-respect
04:41In every village, 13 people have been trained
04:44For example, fitter, plumber, Rajgir, electrician, pump operator etc
04:49And they are getting self-employment in their village
04:53So that they can work in their village
04:56And earn their livelihood
