00:00What I'm referring to is all of our quarterbacks higher than their rushing number.
00:07Let's just take a look at where they settle up at the moment.
00:11We have Lamar Jackson, of course, at the top marker, higher than 48 and a half rushing
00:17yards.
00:18Lamar averages, by the way, a little over 80 rushing yards per game in his postseason
00:25career.
00:26On the other side of the field is Russell Wilson.
00:29Higher than 15 and a half rushing yards.
00:32Russ, higher than this number in three straight games to close out the regular season.
00:38You then go to game number one, Stroud versus Herbert.
00:42CJ, not the best athlete at the quarterback position, but again, it's the playoffs.
00:48Higher than 13 and a half rush yards.
00:51Feels like it should be in reach, especially because this team is limited weapon-wise,
00:57so you might have to make a couple of extra moves to pick up the sticks.
01:01Then lastly, Justin Herbert, who's had himself a pretty strong rushing season, all in all,
01:06a career high this year at 306 yards.
01:10Higher for Justin Herbert as well on his rushing total.
01:14That number, again, around 19 and a half, I do believe.
01:20Now when we take these four quarterbacks here, Donnie, for Justin Herbert, there you see
01:2619 and a half rushing yards.
01:29If you had to take one higher than their number, who would it be?
01:34You're buying a little bit lower here at this point, but it would be Russell Wilson for
01:37me.
01:38I would go higher on that.
01:39It's not because I don't think he's, well, Lamar Jackson has wheels, Herbert has wheels,
01:43Stroud can have the pocket.
01:44I'm just looking at a game plan where you're looking at two teams that know each other,
01:48two good pass rushes.
01:49Russell Wilson has to make some plays with his feet, so for me, you're not even looking
01:52at 35 and a half, 40 yards.
01:54You're basically saying, hey, Russ, get 20 yards on the ground to keep the sticks moving.
01:59I like that higher.
02:00They did it last time they played in Baltimore in terms of the 17 point loss.
02:04We talk about 27 yards on the ground on about four carries.
02:07I would take a shot on CJ Stroud.
02:09Again, I believe this is a bounce back for CJ Stroud.
02:13Has a lower number, but I still think, again, with the pressure of them being underdogs
02:17in terms of the matchup, I think he could break and tame, especially if LA plays man
02:22to man coverage and he has running lanes.
02:24Why are you laughing at me?
02:27You are amazing.
02:29And look, I put them all in there.
02:32It's just like, of course you went to the guy.
02:34Well, actually, to be honest, I was going to go to Russell Wilson and he took it, so
02:40I did somebody else.
02:41Yeah, no, you could double up if you like.
02:43I could have, but that's why I said he did it in terms of the last matchup.
02:46But again, I still believe Stroud, again, will try to take this game on his shoulders
02:51because they haven't looked good down the stretch, even though we look good last week
02:54against Tennessee on one drive.
02:56The two previous games, especially at home, he put up two points against Baltimore on
03:00Christmas.
03:01So look, I do this partly because we've talked about, hey, let's bring all the quarterbacks,
03:05rushing numbers on this desk many times, right?
03:07You get 11 acts on sports millions, pick them.
03:09That's awesome.
03:10It is also just something that I believe we all subscribe to.
03:14Maybe it's just fact.
03:16Quarterbacks run more, the bigger the game is.
03:19And that applies to nobody more than Lamar Jackson.
03:23I'm actually fascinated by his 48 and a half number because that number is not factoring
03:29in its playoff football even a little, Donnie.
03:34Just last year, opening game for Lamar, smooth 11 for 100.
03:41Game number two against KC, eight for 54, and we all felt he didn't run enough.
03:45In that game, I get averages over 80 yards per game on the ground.
03:51Lamar always has the ability to have a big game, but just more likely when the postseason
03:56starts.
03:57Absolutely.
03:58And sometimes you look at the Lamar Jackson and the way you do college quarterbacks like,
04:00man, I just wish he would just drop back one, two, three, and then run because nobody can
04:04stop the guy.
04:05And he's going to do that today.
04:06I do believe he gets into the 50s, 60s today and certainly goes out last week against Cleveland,
04:10especially in the first half.
