00:00In other news, a cyber-libel complaint was filed by the actor-TV host, Vic Soto, against Daryl Yap, the director of the movie, The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma.

00:10According to Yap, Soto is not being personalized and the movie was not made.

00:15Bernadette Reyes reports.

00:17The actor-TV host, Vic Soto, personally went to the office of the city prosecutor of Muntinlupa to eat the 19 counts of cyber-libel.

00:31He was complained by the director of the controversial movie, The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma, Daryl Yap.

00:38Soto was with his housemate, Pauline Luna.

00:42There was no consultation, no goodbye, no consent.

00:49I just trust in our justice system.

00:53I am against irresponsible people, especially when it comes to social media.

01:02Pepsi Paloma was an actress in the 1980s who complained of rape.

01:08Sometime later, Yap released the trailer of the controversial movie where Soto's name was mentioned as the subject of the case.

01:16The complaint was as big as 20 million pesos.

01:23Before filing the cyber-libel complaint, Soto first filed a petition for the writ of habeas data.

01:31Here, he denied the allegations in the movie against the Data Privacy Act made by Yap for processing his sensitive personal information.

01:41Because Yap admitted that his movie is about the rape case filed by Paloma against Soto.

01:48Yap intended not to include in the teaser of the movie the information that the alleged case was dismissed.

01:56Since the movie teaser was released, Soto admitted that his wife and son were raped.

02:03His wife was raped by rapists.

02:06His son was bullied in school.

02:09We need to take action.

02:11Montinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205 issued an order

02:17calling for Soto's alleged writ of habeas data and asking him to stop releasing any video that violates his privacy as part of the teaser of the movie.

02:28It means that we will stop posting and sharing these things until it is discussed in court.

02:35In a statement, Yap said that he has not yet received a copy of Soto's complaint.

02:41According to him, all the material that he released is documented and not made to be destroyed.

02:48He also did not personalize Soto.

02:51He just shared what happened and made it public.

02:55It is free for anyone to file a case, just like Paloma who filed a rape case.

03:01It was also included in the teaser that the case was dismissed and he did not lack anything.

03:06Pepsi Paloma came to life in 1985.
