00:20Personally, the actor and TV host Vic Soto went to the office of the city prosecutor of Muntinlupa

00:30to file 19 counts of cyber libel.

00:34He complained to the director of the controversial movie The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma, Daryl Yap.

00:41Soto was accompanied by his housemate, Pauline Luna.

00:45There was no consultation, no one said goodbye, so there was no consent.

01:05Pepsi Paloma was an actress in the 1980s who complained of rape.

01:10Sometime later, Yap released the trailer of the controversial movie

01:15where Soto's name was mentioned as the subject of the case.

01:19The amount of complaint of civil damages is equivalent to 20 million pesos.

01:26Before the complaint of cyber libel, Soto first filed a petition for the writ of habeas data.

01:33Here, he denied the alleged allegation in the movie that he is one of the perpetrators of Paloma.

01:40Yap filed a lawsuit against the Data Privacy Act for processing of his sensitive personal information

01:47because he admitted that his movie is about the rape case that Paloma filed against Soto.

01:54Soto said that Yap did not include in the teaser of the movie the information that the alleged case was dismissed.

02:02Since the teaser of the movie was released, he has already accepted his wife and child as his victims.

02:09The order of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205

02:14in accordance with the alleged writ of habeas data of Soto

02:16where he asked to stop the release of any video that violates his privacy

02:22as the teaser of the movie.

02:35Under the order of the Muntinlupa RTC Branch 205,

02:39Daryl Yap was ordered to submit a verified return in accordance with the writ of habeas data within five days.

02:46He was also called for a summary hearing the following Wednesday, January 15.

02:51In that hearing, both parties will be given the opportunity to share evidence in accordance with the petition.

02:57In a statement, Yap said that he has not yet received a copy of Soto's complaint.

03:03But he said that all of the material that he is releasing is documented and not made to be destroyed.

03:11He also said that he is not personalizing Soto.

03:14He said that he is just sharing what happened and that it is for the public.

03:18It is free for anyone to file a case, just like the rape case of Paloma.
