00:00The Philippine Coast Guard says another China Coast Guard ship was sailing close to Zambales
00:05after a so-called Chinese monster ship left the area.
00:09PCG spokesperson Commodore Jay Tariella says on Wednesday, January 8, the monster ship
00:14known as CCG 5901 left Zambales and was last monitored some 90 nautical miles away but
00:20still within the Philippines' Exclusive Economic Zone.
00:23He adds the PCG monitored the CCG 3103 as it traveled from Guandong Province to Zambales,
00:30seemingly replacing the monster ship's position.
00:32On Tuesday, January 7, a Chinese military chopper harassed the PCG's BRP Cabra while
00:38the latter was monitoring the monster ship.
00:40Tariella says the Chinese ship's movements have been erratic, ruling out any argument
00:45of innocent passage.
00:47In previous radio challenges, the CCG aboard the 5901 told the Cabra it was performing
00:52law enforcement duties on the jurisdictional waters of the People's Republic of China.
00:57Beijing claims almost all of the South China Sea, including parts that are in the Philippines'
01:01Exclusive Economic Zone.
