00:00Yes, this bare leg is a robotic prosthesis, so it's totally different from the current

00:26product available.

00:28So current product on the market is passive, which means there's only bone and joint without

00:34muscle.

00:35So you can imagine what will happen if you lose your muscle.

00:39This one has muscle.

00:41That make a big difference.

00:42This muscle can have patient do something they couldn't do.

00:45Outer power extends the knee and assists in lifting the body.

00:51It also bends the knee according to the wearer's behavior.

00:55So that the prosthetic toe does not catch on the step.

00:58There are several sensors and motor and battery inside.

01:03So this sensor can detect user intent and movement in real time.

01:08And then motor is controlled to give a power to assist user's movement in each environment.

01:15It is equipped with an assist function that lifts the body upward.

01:20When standing up from the chair, the user can stand up by putting weight on both the

01:24prosthetic leg and the sound side.

01:30Such as fast walking, normal walking, and slow walking.

01:53I got my right leg amputated when I was nine years old.

01:56I used some traditional passive one.

01:59It was very challenging for me.

02:02So that's the reason why I designed this product.

02:06It's a new, different, new one, different one.

02:09It changed my life.

02:25So I hope every people who need this can get this one, can walk more easily and more naturally.

02:32And improve their mobility, improve their quality of life.

02:35That's what I wanted to do with this device.

02:50I think like, in just knowing different people that have different physical limitations,

03:05I want to say efficient, but I don't know if that's quite the word, but you know what

03:10It's just like a daily improvement on your quality of life.

03:16Multiple sensors to identify subtle changes and change the pace of walking without the

03:20user being aware of it, allowing the user to live with less awareness of the prosthetic

03:25leg.

03:26Even with the knee bent, the prosthesis can also apply force to extend the knee, allowing

03:32the user to put weight on the prosthetic leg.
