Following the first week of 2025, how are you getting on with your New Year's Resolutions?

00:00I'm trying to lose a bit of weight, more exercise, hence walking around town, for example, you
00:06know, sort of thing. But I think that's a way to sort of start the new year off. Positive
00:10thinking, healthy mind, healthy body.
00:13I want to get my driving licence, to be honest. Yeah, I'm doing some lessons at the moment.
00:18Yeah.
00:19I don't think I've made any fresh ones. I do run, and I like to think I like to keep
00:24running. So that will be my resolution, is to continue, because as I'm getting older,
00:28I'm getting slower, but I'm wanting to continue, if that makes sense. So it's keeping up with
00:34it, even though I'm nowhere near as good as I was.
00:37In my family, it was always, keep your New Year's resolutions secret, because then they
00:40won't happen, blah, blah, blah. But I will actually openly say this. I think my New Year's
00:44resolution going into 2025 is just to sort of just explore more of the world. I've seen
00:50most of Europe, but I think now it's sort of going to sort of the dark corners of the
00:55world for me. Countries that most people wouldn't dare to go, for example, you know, Kazakhstan
00:59and stuff like that.
01:00I'm hoping to start the new year with a bit of a healthier, more active start, but without
01:04putting too many caveats on that, that I'll probably fail at. So just a more general overview,
01:11but also maybe to make sure that I have a prayer life and some still time, as well as
01:16being very busy and active.
01:18I'm in a group that are doing Couch to 5K. I can't fault, I mean, I ran way before those,
01:26so I can't fault them. I've known loads of people who started with that. Or on a running
01:30nap, people have done it with that and picked it up, marvellous.
01:34To people out there, I'd say it's a sort of like motivation. I would actually self, do
01:39something that at first you were afraid to do. Set yourself a goal that like, you fought
01:44last year, well, I'll save it for next year. I'll say, okay, it's next year and that, it's
01:48next year now, do it. Whether it's scary like climbing a mountain or something, all I'll
01:54say to you is do it. The greatest risk that you cannot take is by not taking a risk.
