Leeds: Your 2024 highlights and reflections

What were your highlights of 2024 and how will you remember the year?

00:00I think the biggest highlight for us in 2024 was the birth of our first grandchild, a little boy

00:09called Roman. So that was that sort of standout moment for me.

00:15And then followed by the granddaughter, by the other son and so we'd not had any

00:25grandchildren up till this recent year. So it was quite a memorable year.

00:32I have been to my son's in Florida for the sunshine and we've also just come back from

00:39India travelling for my husband's 70th so we've had a really lovely exciting year travelling

00:44and we have nine grandchildren that keep us absolutely happy and busy.

00:49My trio have had a few nice gigs and my duo have been in 30, 40 nursing homes around

00:59Leeds, Harrogate, Wetherby. The nice thing about it is, ladies especially say,

01:09that song reminds me when I dance with my husband at the Mecca or the Empire or whatever

01:17in Leeds or Harrogate and so if it triggers some nice memories you know it's just nice to do.

01:242024 has been really bad I think for everybody. Local businesses, people being ill or just

01:34everything's quite damned so I think everybody's looking forward to 2025.

01:38I've enjoyed coming to Leeds with you. Yeah we became friends this year so we've come to

01:43Leeds a lot and done the escape rooms in the light. And we're going to the cinema. We're

01:48off to the cinema now for the new Wicked. Probably going on holiday would be my highlight,

01:54leaving the country. Yeah that's probably about it.
