00:00Whatever the box-office collections of the super hits that you have dubbed for
00:04comes to about two and a half crore to three thousand crore aur agar usme se
00:10ek chota sa small little point one percentage bhi aapke paas aagaya. Toh meri
00:16saath pushton ko kaam karni ki zarurat nahi hai. The only clause I have added now is
00:21that my voice cannot be used to train AI. Maybe the scapegoat or the pioneer.
00:27May be because billi ke gale mein koi toh ghanti maa dega.
00:39What are you doing about AI? Do you have a clause in your contract saying your
00:45voice is not to be given to AI? The only clause I have added now is that my voice cannot be
00:52used to train AI. That is in the new one. But the older contracts and the older
00:59work which is available where they make you sign for posterity, for any kind of
01:04perpetuity and for any kind of a medium which is going to come
01:10also. Not the existing one but which is going to come in the future as well. So
01:14that I'm afraid would be available. So that means you may have signed away your
01:20voice. The work which I've done, no there is no me I have. You have. See I'll
01:27tell you there's another thing. Wo jo usme kya hai, usme kya hai ki there's a one time
01:31payment and there's a coercion because if you do not do that then you're not
01:34doing the job. So that is a thing. So that is not with me. That is with the
01:42entire industry. It is happening with everybody. You are just talking as a
01:46representative of the industry. So I'm not talking about per se myself. I'm
01:53talking about the prevalent situation. Aur usme matlab iss scenario mein kya
02:01badlana chahiye. Wo toh bahut baddi debate ho sakti hai kya badlana chahiye.
02:04Aur I think abhi baatein shuru ho chukki hai. Industry ke andar aur people are
02:09trying to. Kis baat pe? Ye voicing ke upar. There's a voice fest which happens and
02:14there are all the vendors, jitne jo voicing industry ke andar hain. Aur itna, ye Mumbai
02:19tak aap dekhte hai, chota nahi hai. The voicing abhi, India ke andar hi, there
02:25are there are products which are dubbed in 10 to 12 languages and now India ke
02:32andar hi, bahar ki languages ke bhi jo dubbing hai, wo yahan se karwai jaati hai. So we get a,
02:40you get a vendor there. Indonesian karani hai, Malaysian karani hai, Tanzanian karani
02:45hai. Toh wo vendor wabu karke, the companies are Indian, which are getting it done.
02:50Toh aap, let's just come back, muddi pe aa jaye. Toh ek baat bata dijiye ki you feel
02:58whatever the box office collections of the super hits that you have dubbed for, comes
03:03to about two and a half crore to three thousand crore. Aur agar usme se ek chota
03:09small little, point one percentage bhi aapke paas aagaya. Toh meri saath pushton
03:14ko kaam karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Main aapko badi simple se baat batata hoon.
03:18Ki agar, agar dekhiye, business three thousand crore ka kiya, ya jitne ka bhi
03:24business kiya filmone. Aur agar royalty system hota, prevalent hota, toh jitne
03:30voice artist hain. Depending on the volume of their work, you know, and the
03:34contribution in the work. I think unko mere khayal se badi comfortable zindagi
03:41jeete ho, badi aaram se. Jo ke aage scenario, lyricist, singers aur music director ke
03:46saath ho raha hai already aur hone wala hai. Aap, aap samjhiye ki aaj, matlab aaj
03:52jo humare bade-bade singers jo hai, nahi rahe. Unke bachche aaram se rahenge.
03:58Itme raan se rahenge. Because of the royalty. Agar royalty system prevalent
04:03hota.
04:19Maini suna Rashmika Mandana got, pehle 2 crore, abhi 10 crore mila hai, toh aapko
04:24bhi aisa 5. Karna chahiye tha na. 5 time mila. Unko karna, 5 time nahi mila.
04:32So shall we say to wind up, Pushpa 2 ko ek example rakhe, yeh kaha jaa sakta hai ki
04:42dubbing ki wajah, dubbing can enhance a product. That product is fantastic. Lekin achi
04:50dubbing, professional dubbing jo aap sab karte hai, toh that can enhance the product.
04:56Toh you feel ki abhi time aa gaya hai for dubbing artists to talk about remuneration
05:03and royalty with producers like lyricists and writers and composers.
05:09100%. 100% I feel that. Main aap se oolta ek sawaal puchta hoon, usi mein aapka jawab
05:14hai. Aap mujhe ek baar batayiye, agar, aap sab log yahan behte hoon hain, so agar yeh
05:20film sirf Telugu mein hoti hai aur Hindi mein dubna hoti hai aur subtitle ke saath hoti
05:25hai, toh aap log, matlab, aap log kitna enjoy karte hai? Aur yeh film ke footfall itna
05:33hota, Angreji ke subtitle, chhod dijiye Hindi ke bhi. Matlab, is waqt, Hindustan
05:38mein, literacy rate jo chal raha hai, abhi Bihar mein agar aap baat karenge, ya Madhya
05:42Pradesh mein, Odisha mein, kahin pe bhi baat karenge agar aap. Interiors mein, jis
05:46tana ki collection aa rahi hai, aapko lagta hai ke subtitle ke saath yeh collection
05:50aata? Chahe wo Hindi mein subtitle hote, mein keh raha hoon, local language mein bhi
05:55agar subtitle hote, toh local, how many school going children are there? Do you
05:59understand? So, aapko khud contribution samajh mein aajaayega. Ke what is the
06:05contribution of dubbing? And yes, I do agree with you that it is the time, or to
06:11answer your question, it is the time that you can, and particularly with the
06:16franchisees which are very clearly the winners, you know. And when you are
06:22creating a franchisee then it's everybody's collective effort when you are trying to do that.
06:27So, what I am saying is that dubbing artist is as much a part of the production of the movie, as a crew, as the editor is important,
06:37as the cameraman is important and as the other people, line producer is important,
06:44likewise, if you want to reach the larger audience, the dubbing artist is important.
06:50And see, Hollywood understands this very well. So, Hollywood ka kya hai ke unki har film jo hai,
06:58wo mere khayal se, if I am not wrong, I think 19 to 23 languages mein dub hoti hain.
07:04Jaise main prominent hai Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Hindi. Hindi mein toh 3, India mein toh 3 hoti hain.
07:11Unki hoti hain Hindi, Tamil, Telugu. You know. Aur minimum 3 hoti hain, otherwise 5 hoti hain.
07:17Unki matlab, they add other languages as well also. So, and they have been doing it for years.
07:24Jurassic Park se jab unko, they tasted the blood 25 years earlier. So, they have been raking in.
07:31They have been raking in for years and years. And now is the time that like, whether it is here or there.
07:38And I am not saying ke bhai, wo film mein jo hain, main yeh nahi kya raha hoon ki sirf South ki film mein,
07:44main Hollywood ki baat kar raha hoon. Aur main yeh bhi kya raha hoon ki, jo Hindi film,
07:48agar waha pe language mein, local language mein dub hoti hain, same applies.
07:54Agar Hindi ki koi bahot baddi film hai, animal hai, wo Telugu aur Tamil mein dub hoti hain,
07:59aur waha pe record todti hain, same hai. Same rule applies.
08:03Baha ka dubbing artiste hai, wo me bhi bhi toh. Bilkul.
08:07Nahi, dubbing artiste toh same hi hai na, har jagah. Yeh sirf aagni baat todi kar rahe hain.
08:11So, main jo aapko keh raha tha, jo George Clooney ki awaaz mein, unhone case kiya.
08:17Unhone company mein case kiya, for the royalty. 12 saal unhone case lada, wo jeet bhi gaye.
08:24Acha? Ji, wo jeet gaye. George Clooney's voice artist? Voice artist. I think it was a German artist or a Turkish artist,
08:32who won the case. And the most unfortunate thing is that nobody worked with him after that.
08:40Boycott. Toh aap isi liye keh rahe hain ki, you may be the scapegoat or the pioneer.
08:46Yes, may be the scapegoat or the pioneer. May be because, billi ke gale mein koi toh ghanti maadega.
08:53Okay, nice. Very good.
