A man has been shot and killed by police during a confrontation at a home in Adelaide’s south. Officers allege the man threatened them with a knife before they opened fire.

00:00Police say that emergency services were called here to Craigburn Farm just after midnight
00:06over a mental health incident after reports that a man was injuring himself.
00:11Police say that they entered the home of the 40-year-old man to speak to him but that he

00:22Police then shot the man before he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

00:31situation and the police officers appear at this time to have acted in accordance with
00:35their training and taken the action necessary to protect themselves and the ambulance officers
00:40who are on the scene.
00:42Commissioner Stephens says that there will be a Commissioner's Inquiry into this matter
00:45and the SA President of the Police Association, Wade Burns, says that the officers are being
00:50provided with support while police say that none of them were injured and that there will
00:54be a report prepared for the coroner.
