00:00Well, Nikki Glaser made her big debut as the host of the Golden Globes.
00:04She was great.
00:05First time they've had a woman, a female host solo.
00:09Obviously, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have done it together before, but this is the first
00:14time a woman did it.
00:15She was really good.
00:16She was the best part of the show.
00:18She really was really, really funny.
00:21Everyone expected that.
00:22I think she kind of set everyone's nerves, put their nerves at ease when she came out
00:26and said, I'm not here to roast everyone, because she, of course, was very famous for
00:31everything she did at the Tom Brady roast.
00:34She can be brutal.
00:35Yes.
00:36And a very funny one.
00:37And hysterical.
00:38Right.
00:39But she said, I'm not here to roast you.
00:40And she didn't take a shot at someone in the room.
00:44She did bring up Diddy in a, I thought, a very clever way.
00:49But listen to the audience reaction.
00:51They weren't really on board at first, and she found a way to get them on board and made
00:55it really funny.
00:56Challengers, girl.
00:57Oh, my God.
00:58It was so good.
00:59I mean, that movie was more sexually charged than Diddy's credit card.
01:02I mean, seriously.
01:03Oh, no, no.
01:04I know.
01:05I'm sorry.
01:06I'm upset, too.
01:07The after party's not going to be as good this year, but we have to move on.
01:11I know a Stanley Tucci freak off just doesn't have the same ring to it, but no baby oil
01:17this year.
01:18Just lots of olive oil.
01:19OK.
01:20That's really funny.
01:21I'm sorry.
01:22That's really.
01:23I don't know.
01:24I think Stanley Tucci's face was, I don't know what's going on, or please don't bring
01:27me into it.
01:28Well, nobody wants the word Diddy and them in the same sentence right now.
01:31But you know, I will say, what's really interesting, and I think one of the reasons the audience
01:35might have been on edge, is Diddy threw parties, lots of them, over 20 years.
01:42There were people in that room.
01:43There were people in that audience who were at those parties.
01:45Not necessarily the freak offs, although we don't know, but certainly a lot of the shindigs
01:49that he threw.
01:50Right.
01:51And so they're really nervous.
01:52They don't want to be caught because they don't know when the camera is going to cut
01:55to them.
01:56And they're laughing.
01:57And so what do we do?
01:58Right.
01:59Right.
02:00So that was the mixed reaction there.
02:01But the Stanley Tucci punch line really saved it and made it all right for everyone to then
02:06laugh.
02:07Like, oh, we can laugh at that.
02:08That's fine.
02:09The reaction, switching baby oil to olive oil, it was the killer.
02:13That was.
02:14Well, I can tell you two people that are not, and those are attorneys for Diddy accusers.
02:19We spoke with Ariel Mitchell and with Tyrone Blackburn.
02:22They represent a handful of Diddy accusers.
02:25And they basically said that this is just cheap jokes from Nikki.
02:28Ariel was particularly upset given that Nikki is a woman.
02:32She felt like she shouldn't be making these type of jokes.
02:34Tyrone said, listen, she's a great comedian.
02:37She's above this.
02:38And I mean, it is kind of low hanging fruit here.
02:41And also, Diddy isn't a direct tie to the Golden Globes.
02:44I mean, like films, TV, I get it's a tie to Hollywood.
02:49Like you guys said, maybe there were people there who went to his parties, but I get why
02:53some people would be pissed off by this.
02:56There's a direct, is more than a direct tie.
02:58Diddy's been at the Golden Globes in the past.
03:00So absolutely.
03:01And it's movies.
03:02It's, I mean, there were singers there.
03:04There were, I mean, a lot of people show up at the Golden Globes.
03:07So the, look, there's a big, the reason people were so nervous is the intersection between
03:12them and Diddy over the years.
03:15And that doesn't mean everybody did what he's accused of doing, but nobody wants to
03:20talk about those associations, which is one of the reasons everybody's been so radio silent,
03:27so radio silent about Diddy in Hollywood.
03:30I mean, you just don't hear reactions.
03:32No, people don't talk about it.
03:34And honestly, it, I don't know, as, as it went, that was fairly, it was a very mild
03:39joke.
03:40And I understand the attorneys feeling like her joke wasn't at the expense of the victims.
03:46I felt it was, it was Diddy about Diddy, right?
03:49And so if you're attacking him, I don't see what the problem is.
03:51Hello everyone.
03:52I'm Candace Cooper from Scottsdale, Arizona.
03:55Look, I thought Nikki was great.
03:57She's effortless.
03:58She's gorgeous.
04:00She's funny.
04:01She went light.
04:02She went light on them.
04:03Stanley Tucci's like, wait, how did I get roped into this?
04:06But right.
04:07She's gorgeous.
04:08She's great.
04:09I'm not getting over to Stanley Tucci.
04:10Diddy was a music producer.
04:12He's been accused of.
04:14Right.
04:15She was great.
04:16I mean, she really was great.
