Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to announce as early as Monday (Jan 6) that he will resign as Liberal Party Leader.

According to The Global Mail, Trudeau's resignation date has not been finalized but is anticipated to happen before the national caucus meeting scheduled for Wednesday (Jan 8).
