The Russian Defence Ministry has reported the destruction of 16 Ukrainian drones in five regions. Flight restrictions were imposed at St Petersburg airport. Meanwhile, a resident of Kyiv Region died in hospital after being hit by a Russian drone strike.

00:30Governors of Bryansk, Smolensk and Pskov regions reported no casualties or significant damage.
00:37Ukrainian authorities also reported extensive Russian drone strikes on January the 3rd,
00:41targeting 10 regions and causing casualties including the death of a young woman in Kiev
00:45region.
00:46Ukrainian air defences claim to have intercepted 34 out of 81 drones launched by Russia with
00:51the rest causing localised damage.
00:54A 70-year-old man was injured and hospitalised in Russian shelling of Dnipropetrovsk region.
