00:00A Christmas without fear of any communist insurgent.
00:04That's what the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, or NTF-LCAP,
00:10Executive Director Undersecretary Ernesto Torres, Jr., said this Christmas season.
00:16According to Torres, Jr., this is the first chance for Filipinos
00:21to celebrate Christmas and New Year without fear, not with communists.
00:27It can be said that recently, almost 70 guerrilla fronts have been destroyed,
00:33including military and civil operations of the government.
00:38But despite the success, the Executive Director said that the country's determination
00:45to fight any kind of insurgency and chaos led by communists should remain.
00:51Meanwhile, Torres also urged all local governments
00:55to focus on serving justice and progress,
01:01particularly to conflict-affected communities,
01:04according to the National Action Plan for Unity, Peace, and Development.
