It is now 2025, January has arrived and it’s time to break out of the holiday period and return to ordinary life.
It was a wild start to the New Year, weather wise, with a number of outdoor Hogmanay events cancelled due to heavy rain and high winds.
The good news is this was not foretelling of the week ahead, and the weather is set to pick up.
According to the Met Office the evening of 2 January is set to be dry and clear across Glasgow though it will be chilly with lows of minus 3 degrees celcius and a high of 1 degrees.
Tomorrow, Friday 3 January will be similar, though slightly warmer it will be cold while the skies will be bright and clear.
There is a yellow warning for ice.
The weekend then is set to be blustery with showers of sleet and snow anticipated and the sun is set to hide away again with a yellow warning for Sunday.
