A very windy Glasgow as MET give out yellow warning
The North could face strong winds this weekend as the Met Office has issued two more weather warnings ahead of the weekend.
The yellow wind warnings are in place from 7am on Saturday morning until 9pm the same night and affect the north of the country including the Highlands, Orkney & Shetland and Strathclyde.
According to the UK weather agency, a yellow weather warning means that many people may be able to continue with their daily routine, but there will be some that will be directly impacted and so it is important to assess if you could be affected.

The Met Office's five-day forecast for the UK says: "A murky mild start in the south with strong winds, strongest being across the Pennines and exposed western coasts with rain spreading eastwards later. Turning colder in the north and west with blustery showers turning wintry over high ground."
It's long range forecast, which covers 22 December through to 31 December says: "Likely starting off very unsettled, with blustery showers, a mix of rain, sleet, some hill snow and soft hail being driven in by a strong to gale force northwesterly wind.
"Southeastern areas most sheltered from these but widely feeling very cold. Gradually turning more settled through the following week, with cloud, stronger winds and outbreaks of rain increasingly becoming confined to northwest Scotland, as an area of high pressure becomes established across at least the south of the UK."
The Met Office has previously confirmed that there are no strong signals that the country will experience a white Christmas, but the weather agency is keeping a close eye on the weather and will update its forecasts accordingly.
