00:00As al-Sharaf said that liberating Syria ensures the security of the region, the Gulf and Syria for the next 50 years.
00:10What do you make of these comments?
00:12I think he meant that Iran presents by using sectarianism as a tool of regional expansion
00:21and by endorsing certain militia because Iran always wanted to deal with militia
00:28but not with the state as a state.
00:30I think today they have a chance, honestly, in Iran to come out and say,
00:35as Assad used to say or they used to say,
00:38we have been in Syria because we were invited and we were asked by the Syrian regime.
00:44Today the Syrian regime is no longer there, so it's better they come out clearly and say,
00:49listen, we're no longer needed there.
00:52At least to have a safe-facing device in a way to leave some margin for a future reasonable relation to the Arab country.
01:02As he said, with no interventionist policy,
01:05with no imposing of any sort of ideology to the people in the Arab world and in Syria in particular.
01:12So if Syria settled today, if we are sure that the Iranian presence has been eliminated and out of Syria today,
01:20the rest of the country can enjoy a better peaceful and security in the region.
