00:00A deadly end to the year in Sydney's South West. Families in Wakeley discovered this
00:09burning car, one of the alleged getaway vehicles used to flee the scene of a daylight attack
00:14just one suburb over. The murder has shaken the community.
00:19Honestly a bit shocked and terrifying because this is the first time that something like
00:24this happened in this neighbourhood.
00:2631-year-old David Koo was gunned down outside his Canley Heights home. Witnesses saw him
00:32collapse, bloodied, onto a neighbour's lawn. Police revealed today that David Koo had links
00:37to Asian organised crime networks and that he may be another casualty of Sydney's gangland
00:42violence.
00:43Whilst he had limited criminal history, no one deserves to be shot multiple times outside
00:51the family residence and it's shocking for the family and they're still grieving.
00:55A 33-year-old man has been charged as an accessory to murder following a police raid in a nearby
01:01suburb.
01:02We've identified a second vehicle which was a grey Jeep Cherokee. That Jeep Cherokee was
01:08seized and addressed in Bosley Park.
01:11Authorities are also exploring if this killing is connected to a series of police raids on
01:15alleged Asian crime syndicates earlier this month, which led to more than $10 million
01:20of meth being taken off the streets.
01:23Police say these gang killings are becoming more brazen. Many shootings over the past
01:2818 months have occurred in public spaces or during daylight hours. Authorities are warning
01:33this cycle of violence can only end in tragedy.
01:36There's consequences if you're going to be involved in organised crime networks and we
01:40see it over and over again. They end up dead on the street in Sydney.
01:45The hunt for the killers continues.
