00:00Malacanang denied that the 2025 national budget is not unconstitutional.

00:05Those questioning the fund are free to file complaints to the court,

00:10according to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

00:18There is no way for Malacanang to make the 2025 national budget unconstitutional.

00:26Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin also gave a statement.

00:29There will be no incantation or miracle in the Pambansang Pondo.

00:35According to Bersamin, the budget for 2025 was formed by the Congress

00:40and the Executive that will also go through the strict impeachment of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

00:48His focus and attention is on the Pondo,

00:51where part of its impeachment

00:55is to look at what is needed and not a project that should be funded.

01:01The President will be blamed from the start.

01:05I can give you that assurance that the President is very focused, very prudent.

01:11And to those who say that the General Appropriations Act is unconstitutional,

01:16the Secretary said that it can be passed in the Judiciary for the demand of justice.

01:22But according to Bersamin, based on his experience as a former member of the Judiciary,

01:27it will be difficult to bring the Executive and the Legislative Department to the Supreme Court,

01:35For the Executive Secretary, they will not be able to stop if there are proper questions on the budget.

01:41But hopefully, this will not cause them any distraction.

01:47But according to my experience as a former member of the Judiciary,

01:52it will be difficult to bring both branches of government to the Supreme Court.

02:03We will not be able to stop if there are quarters who would still like to be heard on this issue.

02:11But I hope they should not because that will again be distracting us.

02:15Yesterday, the 6.326 trillion pesos budget was added for the next year.

02:20The Education Sector is leading the priorities in the 2025 National Budget

02:25which is accompanied by DPWH, Department of National Defense, DILG, DOH, Department of Agriculture,

02:33DSWD, DOTR, and 10th is the Department of Justice.
