00:00PNP Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil ordered the entire PNP force to prioritize the safety and security of the public during the New Year's gathering.

00:11The details are reported by Ryan Desigues of PTV Manila.

00:17One day before the New Year's gathering, the incident of stray bullet and indiscriminate filing of the Philippine National Police, PNP,

00:26according to PNP Spokesperson, Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, there were four cases of stray bullet.

00:32Three were from NCR and one from Region 9.

00:36Fifteen were indiscriminate firing.

00:39Four were from NCR.

00:41Six from Calabarzon.

00:43Two from Region 7.

00:45One from Region 9 and 11.

00:48We will not get tired of reminding and talking to our countrymen that as far as possible,

00:56you should not use your guns in any kind of revelries or festivities because you may cause disgrace to other people.

01:06The increase in the number of firecrackers victims who have reached more than 500 has been continued, according to PNP.

01:14PNP is reminding the public to celebrate the New Year with safety and avoid illegal firecrackers.

01:19Philippine National Police Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil has already ordered all its personnel to prioritize the safety and security of the public in celebrating the New Year.

01:31Earlier this year, the PNP chief made an announcement as a warning for a peaceful celebration of the so-called occasion,

01:37as well as the readiness of the police to respond to any emergency, including fires and incidents related to firecrackers.

01:44The PNP has assigned first aid responders for the victims of firecrackers.

01:49They will also be reminded in the Bureau of Fire Protection to reduce the number of fires if there is a fire.

01:56Marbil is also warning anyone who will burn tires to block roads that are in the way of their response to an emergency that may result in a punishment.

02:06At the same time, the PNP chief is also warning the public of the danger of firecrackers that may destroy property and be a threat to the survival of life.

02:18We will abide by the laws and regulations that we are issuing. We will continue to talk and ask for cooperation from them.

02:29We are implementing security protocols and interventions to avoid such incidents.
