Kazakhstan's government told Euronews that it has decided to send the downed Azerbaijan Airlines flight recorders to Brazil for the full and transparent disclosure of the tragedy.

00:00Sources inside the Kazakh government have told Euronews that the black boxes from the
00:06Azerbaijani plane that crashed on Christmas Day will be sent to Brazil for analysis.
00:12Astana said the Azal aircraft was manufactured in Brazil and the decision to send the black
00:17boxes there came after consultations with Azerbaijan and Russia.
00:22The statement also said that Brazil's Aviation Accident Center has the necessary technical
00:28capabilities with the appropriate equipment and a certified laboratory.
00:33Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 8432 was en route from the capital Baku to Grozny in the Russian
00:39Republic of Chechnya. Baku says the aircraft was hit by fire from Russia's air defenses
00:44which had been scrambled in response to a Ukrainian drone attack.
00:48The plane was denied permission to land at nearby Russian airports and was diverted across
00:53the Caspian Sea to Kazakhstan. It crash landed near Aktau killing 38 of the 67 passengers
01:00on board.
01:02Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has criticized Russia for its unwillingness to cooperate
01:07with the investigation.
01:23Russia's President Vladimir Putin has apologized for the crash but stopped short of accepting
01:44responsibility. Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan has demanded Russia admit guilt, punish those
01:50responsible and pay compensation to the survivors.
