00:00We have hundreds of tourists who come to Salung Maling every day, especially on weekends.
00:19So we want to make an initiative to bring them down to Kampung Baru, to explore Kampung Baru.
00:24Because this is like a ready market.
00:27Our tourists are already in front of our door.
00:30But how do we take advantage of what we already have here?
00:34So this is a small initiative from our side to sort of lessen the day.
00:40So actually what we want to do is to create more attraction to Kampung Baru.
00:47So we started from a very young age and we try to get the community involved.
00:53Organizations, NGOs, residents, companies.
00:59And we also actively try to find corporate bodies to get involved with our cause.
01:08Now we are still planning with the government, local authorities, local residents and NGOs.
01:18For this year, we will plan a calendar with the support of the government especially.
01:26With the parties involved, God willing, we will have our own calendar.
01:30So everybody will be on the same page.
01:35So we can promote and invite more people to come to Kampung Baru.
01:44This program is a collaboration between JWP, MOTAC, my company, Omni Holdings, Seram Bahat.
01:51And also HMSIB, Majlis Belia Kawasan Titik Bangsa.
02:01And also MPP, Subzone 3, PKB especially from the government.
02:11And if there's anything I missed, I'm sorry.
02:14Why is there a program called Cerita Warna Kampung Baru?
02:16Okay, this program is divided into two levels.
02:19One is at Jalan Saloma, at the foot of Jalan Saloma.
02:22We do an exhibition of 124 years of the history of Kampung Baru.
02:28So what you see there is the history from the year 1900 until today.
02:35So from the history, we get to know more about who is Kampung Baru, what is Kampung Baru,
02:40what can be offered by Kampung Baru.
02:42So it's over there.
02:43Over here, it's on the ANZAC site.
02:46If anyone wants to come, the exhibition is until the 31st of December.
02:52So on this side, at Kampung Baru, it's more to performance.
02:56So the significance of this performance is to bring the people from the top of the bridge down.
03:03So they learn about the Malay culture.
03:07We want to try to promote the Malay culture along with the concept of Kampung Baru.
03:13In Kampung Baru, especially, it's a Malay area.
03:16I mean, in Bukit Bintang, it's more of a Chinese area, in terms of tradition.
03:21So in Kampung Baru, I mean, in terms of Malay identity, we try to retain, we try to promote.
03:31So that's the only thing we have.
03:34In the city of Kuala Lumpur, this is the only Malay city that still exists.
03:39So besides the buildings brought by PKB, we do something on the side, which is tourism.
03:48That's what we promote, which is tourism in Kampung Baru.
