00:00Monday 9 football to round out week 16 in the National Football League.
00:03One team came ready to play.
00:05Another team, I don't even know if they showed up to Lambeau on a chilly Monday evening.
00:11The Packers get it done, 34 to nothing.
00:13They blank the Saints.
00:14That's the first shutout that we've seen of the year.
00:17Jordan Love, he was copping a couple of knocks.
00:19He goes 16 for 28, 182 passing yards.
00:22But it was a clinical display from the Packers, Joe.
00:25And I ask you, is this a team that's starting to look better and better the further we get into this thing?
00:32Well, they are, Dubs.
00:34I mean, and it should not come as a surprise that really the only two losses that they've had over the last, what, 10 weeks, 12 weeks here has been to the Detroit Lions.
00:46Outside of that, Dubs, they have pretty much handled their business.
00:50They had to navigate through, you know, an injury to Jordan Love early in the season here where they had to kind of figure some things out.
00:59Once he shook off the rust, though, when they came back, it's been smooth sailing.
01:06I mean, and I don't know why this surprises people.
01:09I had the Packers actually as a dark horse, not only to win the North, but to also win the NFC, Dubs.
01:17And we got them at, what, 14 or 15 to 1 early on in the season because I said, listen, if something happens to Goff and look at what's happened to Detroit's that side of the defense, I don't think anybody took Minnesota seriously, and I still don't.
01:34Who's left?
01:35Well, Green Bay.
01:36I mean, there's nobody in the NFC West.
01:39The Green Bay Packers have the experience.
01:41They were this close a year ago, Dubs, from making a pretty good run there at the Super Bowl.
01:48So this should not surprise anybody.
01:50Defense is better than it was a year ago, and Jordan Love, believe it or not, is better than he was a year ago.
01:57And how about this running game that they've got right now?
02:00They are built to win games in January, Dubs, which makes them very dangerous, especially given the state of the Detroit Lions right now.
