00:30The agreement to cease fire is closer than ever for the Gaza Strip, Hamas and two other Palestinian groups,
00:41say the optimists, while issuing reserves.
00:48In Mali, Bamako has for the first time since 2016,
00:52the quarterly session of the Council of Ministers of the Economic and Monetary Union West African.
01:01But before developing this title, know that Spain highly appreciates the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI
01:10in favor of the progress of Morocco and regional stability.
01:14These are the words of the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez,
01:18a rabbi in his capacity as Secretary General of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party,
01:24whose Congress is closing today in the capital.
01:28He congratulated himself on the excellence of the relations uniting Morocco and Spain,
01:33two countries that share in his eyes projects and a similar vision of the issues and challenges that the world faces.
01:45After Rabat, Tangier, where the second sessions of the advanced regionalization closed yesterday,
01:54two days of work during which the participants have laid the foundations,
02:00the new foundations must allow to accelerate the pace to meet the objectives
02:06in the execution of this royal project which aims at the development of all regions of the kingdom.
02:13This meeting was also an opportunity to highlight the successful initiatives
02:18and the structural projects carried out in the different regions.
02:25During these sessions of the advanced regionalization,
02:30His Majesty King Mohammed VI called for the elaboration of a roadmap
02:36which defines the strategic orientations for the next stage of this reform on the royal directives.
02:44Let's listen to the reaction of the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka.
02:49Today, what is clear is that, as you know, the royal letter was edifying in this sense
02:56since it emphasized the role of the regions in the fight against water stress.
03:04And in this context, we have a roadmap that has been stopped
03:08with on the one hand, I would say, regional plans that concern the integrated management of water
03:15with on the other hand, funding that has been mobilized by the regions.
03:19We signed it yesterday, confirming the royal orientations
03:23where there is an intervention of the regions in the field of the mobilization of conventional water
03:28but also non-conventional through the drainage of water but also the reuse of used water.
03:34Also through the construction of small dams to be able to protect against floods
03:41and also ensure the necessary water resources, especially for farming and also for rural populations.
03:48Thirdly, an essential role in the water economy.
03:52And as you know today, agricultural policy must be reviewed
03:57by integrating the problem of water stress.
04:01And also, I would say, a real work to be done in the field of improving the yields of sewage
04:08where we have huge losses ranging from 30% to 50%.
04:12And finally, everything related to the preservation of groundwater
04:17to be able to stop this overexploitation of these groundwater
04:22and also ensure the re-feeding of groundwater through, I would say,
04:27the establishment of small dams that will serve the artificial feeding of groundwater.
04:33And for the President of the Council of the Dakhla-Wad-Daheb Region,
04:37the new model of development of the Southern Provinces has given a new momentum
04:41to the construction of advanced regionalization in this part of the Kingdom.
04:46Yadja El Khattat, I invite you to listen.
04:49Advanced regionalization is a very important structural royal construction
04:56with very clear objectives to position the region according to what the law gives it.
05:04The region is the municipality that holds the prevalence at the local level, at the regional level,
05:12essentially in the road of development.
05:16The Southern Provinces have taken advantage of the Royal Program,
05:21which is the new model of development of the Southern Provinces, which was launched in 2015
05:25and which gave a very strong impetus for the advanced regionalization in our Southern Provinces.
05:30I take as an example the Dakhla-Wad-Daheb Region.
05:33The panoply of structural projects that were launched by His Majesty in this region
05:42will give the region a very important position,
05:46not only at the national level, at the regional level,
05:49but also as an emerging development pole, an important economic pole,
05:54which will further strengthen the attractiveness of the territory
06:00and make this region not only a national pole,
06:03but which can even play a role of economic cooperation and economic integration
06:12with countries such as the Sahel countries, the Royal Initiative,
06:17the Atlantic, which is there and which will make Dakhla the real pole
06:21to which all this economic dynamic turns.
06:25Other important initiatives will also give a very strong impetus for these regions,
06:31notably the Gaza-Eau-Duc initiative.
06:33So today we are talking about these regions as an emerging economic pole
06:38and which hold very important wealth
06:46and which will really attract investors
06:52according to the infrastructures that have been built.
06:56Port infrastructure, airport infrastructure, road infrastructure.
07:06So let's not forget that His Majesty also wanted to make the Dakhla region
07:10a maritime hub, a road hub, an aerial hub.
07:14So not only this regionalization, advanced in the southern regions,
07:20has boosted the regional economy, the different sectors,
07:23the leverage of the regional economy,
07:25but also has given a range even beyond the borders.
07:32They say they want to contribute to regional peace
07:35and build strategic partnerships with the countries of the region.
07:39And to achieve this, in Syria, new authorities were appointed yesterday,
07:43Assad al-Shibani as head of the diplomacy of the government in charge of the transition.
07:50In the rest of the news, the American army announced yesterday
07:53that it had launched strikes against military installations,
07:57military equipment in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
08:01This attack occurred a few hours after the rebels claimed
08:05the shooting of a missile at the center of Israel,
08:09allied with Washington, causing 16 light injuries.
08:16For Hamas and two other Palestinian groups,
08:18the ceasefire agreement is closer than ever.
08:23For the Gaza Strip,
08:24Gaza Strip, the most glorious theater of war with Israel,
08:27this announcement comes as indirect negotiations
08:30held last week in Qatar between the belligerents with Doha and Egypt
08:35as mediators revived the hope of an agreement on a truce
08:39and the liberation of hostages in Gaza.
08:46After the attack on the car of the Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany,
08:51which killed five and injured two,
08:53a question arises.
08:55The presumed Saudi author should not have been stopped?
08:59Rather, he who had in a tweet threatened to make Germany pay the price,
09:04I quote, not to protect enough the Saudi refugees.
09:09In any case, the German authorities began to raise a veil
09:13on the still confused motivations of the presumed author
09:16of what Chancellor Olaf Scholz called
09:19the terrible and crazy act of gathering yesterday in Magdeburg.
09:26After several initiatives towards the countries of the Sahel,
09:29the Amal Association of Aid to Patients with Renal Insufficiency
09:34supervises the training of specialists and nurses in Guinea-Bissau,
09:40a training specialized in the use of modern technologies
09:44in the treatment of patients with renal insufficiency.
09:48I invite you to listen to Mustafa Fawzi,
09:50President of the Amal Association and Invalido Barboza,
09:54a beneficiary of this training in Guinea-Bissau.
09:58This cooperation strengthens bilateral relations
10:02and develops initiatives of magnitude
10:05such as those aimed at the development of the countries of the Sahel,
10:09with the recent Atlantic Initiative led by His Majesty Quddu al-Assis,
10:15which also gave us a synergy, a will to strengthen
10:20and support our friends in the Sahel countries
10:24in social actions such as the one we are living today,
10:28with the first installation of a complete center in Bissau
10:34and the training of the Bissau Guinean team in Morocco
10:40for a period of more than a month,
10:44accompanied by a Moroccan team
10:49that will accompany them to Bissau to help them
10:52to have their operational center.
10:56Everything is going well,
10:58the team is there to give us very good information
11:03and to follow us.
11:06It is wonderful, the patience of the nurses
11:10and the technicians of the foundation.
11:12They give us information on the techniques of the modalities,
11:17we learn the manipulation of the machines
11:20and we also learn everything about the patients with the team
11:29and everything about the patients,
11:32how to deal with the patients, how to animate the patients
11:35and how to do even the techniques of the modalities.
11:39I will announce it to you in the titles.
11:41Bamako has for the first time since 2016
11:44the quarterly session of the Council of Ministers
11:47of the Economic and Monetary Union West African.
11:50Mohamed Danyoko returns on the highlights of this meeting.
11:54Presided by Adama Koulibaly, Minister of Finance and Budget of the Ivory Coast,
11:58this fourth session of the Council of Ministers of the IMOA
12:02was held in a context of consolidation of the world economic activity
12:07and the decline of inflation,
12:10which had a positive impact on the GDP of the Union.
12:16The latest estimates of the GDP of the Union
12:19show an acceleration of the progression of economic activity
12:23in the third quarter of 2024
12:25with a 6% annual growth
12:29after an increase of 5.3% this quarter.
12:35A GDP in the health sector,
12:37a rather stable public finance management after 9 months,
12:40the prospects for 2025 are looking good.
12:45According to the latest forecast of the IMOA,
12:47the rate of growth of the GDP of the Union in real terms
12:50would rise to 6% in 2024
12:53and then to 6.3% in 2025.
12:57This acceleration will be particularly induced
13:00by the poor quality of the extractive and manufacturing producers
13:04as well as commercial and financial activities.
13:09The session of the IMOA allowed, among other things,
13:11the adoption of the report on the economic and monetary situation of the IMOA
13:16on September 30, 2024
13:19and the macroeconomic framing of the IMOA for the years 2024 to 2029.
13:25The adoption of the report on the updated financial prospects
13:28for 2025-2029 of the IMOA
13:32will allow our Development Bank
13:35to preserve its financial balances
13:38on the basis of the objectives of activity
13:40and the conditions of the proposed intervention.
13:43The regulatory project relating to the external financial relations
13:47of the Member States of the IMOA
13:49has also been adopted
13:51during this fourth and final session of the year 2024.
13:58Returns to the Kingdom, where the Rabat Museum of Photography
14:01hosts a retrospective entitled
14:04The Contemporary Odyssey of the Artist Reza Derrati.
14:09Mixing images and texts,
14:11it highlights his work of more than 40 years of travel
14:15in more than 100 countries.
14:17For more than 30 years,
14:19this artist has traveled around the world
14:22and has shown us that each individual
14:24is an entire universe, rich in a unique history.
14:28The exhibition continues until May 30, 2025.
14:32I invite you to listen to Sofiane El Houi,
14:35curator of the Museum of Photography.
14:38Reza's exhibition is really the result of five years of evolution
14:43at the National Museum of Photography.
14:46Since its inauguration, we have set ourselves the goal
14:49of promoting and disseminating the young Moroccan photographic scene
14:53through large international exhibitions.
14:57In four years, I think that this young museum institution
15:02has reached what we could call a maturity,
15:05a maturity in terms of the number of organized exhibitions,
15:09but also in terms of quality, the quality of the invited artists,
15:12but also the quality of the content we offer to our visitors.
15:17To mark the cultural season of this year,
15:22we had to mark the spirits with a large event
15:28to attract the attention of photography amateurs
15:34in Rabat and in Morocco in general.
15:37So Reza's choice was not fortuitous,
15:41but it meets the needs, the will of the National Museum Foundation
15:46and the National Museum of Photography
15:48to inaugurate a new chapter in cultural programming,
15:52especially in a world context,
15:56very busy, very difficult, marked by many conflicts,
16:00many religious, political and ethnic wars.
16:03And Reza's photojournalistic work
16:06allows to bring a critical look,
16:09a relevant look on the episodes of war and conflict,
16:13but also on the moments of grace, peace and resilience.
16:19Moroccan cinema,
16:20envious of the death of the actor Mohamed El Khalfi,
16:24the hero of the series Lala Fatema
16:28left us yesterday at the age of 87
16:31after a long illness.
16:33He began his career towards the end of the 60s
16:37and quickly established himself as one of the emblematic figures
16:40of theater, television and cinema.
16:44His journey earned him recognition by his parents.
16:47A few days ago, the Casablanca Arab Film Festival
16:51paid tribute to him during his fifth edition.
16:58End of this news.
16:59Thank you for following it.
17:00In a few moments, a new point on the news.
