Transcript
00:00Full-time here at a windswept Goodson Park and Everton fans have been going home quietly satisfied with a draw against Chelsea.
00:08Not the most thrilling of games but a point well deserved from Everton.
00:13Maybe because of Shazer as well towards the end.
00:16A lot was made about these games coming up for Everton. Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City.
00:22Some fans were fearing that Everton wouldn't get anything from them.
00:25You could say there's two points in the bank for the Blues because they fought it out at Arsenal and they deserved a share of the spoils against Chelsea.
00:36Sean Dyche named an unchanged team, that was no surprise.
00:40Everton, big battles, well they made it light difficult for Chelsea.
00:46Chelsea had the better chances in the first half.
00:49Nicholas Jackson going through, a job pick that made a good save.
00:53Jackson heading against the far post in the second half.
00:56Everton had the better of the opportunities.
00:58Jack had us in four minutes into the second period.
01:01He really should have done better when he was picked out by Ellermann and Dye at the back post.
01:05He just lacked composure and saw a chance saved.
01:09Later in the half, Everton broke forward.
01:13That was about it to be quite frank.
01:22Not massive chances either side but Everton will be very satisfied.
01:29Sean Dyche will be very satisfied.
01:31The Friedkin group completed the takeover on Thursday.
01:35The keys were handed over to the new stage on Friday and a draw against High Fly and Chelsea.
01:40It's been a good week for Everton.
01:42The Friedkin group will be satisfied as I say with what we've seen.
01:45Sean Dyche was quite honest in his post-match press conference.
01:50He said, I'm still not naive, we need to win games.
01:53That was interesting because it was a good point.
01:56Sean Dyche still knows what is required and that's picking up wins.
02:02Okay, maybe not against Man City.
02:04Man City are on a run of form but it's still going to be difficult.
02:08When Everton are off to take Forrester home and other games, then Sean Dyche is going to be judged on wins.
02:14Good point for Everton.
02:16They go to Man City now and they'll feel like they can get a result.
02:20The only disappointment is Ashley Young was suspended for the game.
02:23He picked up his fifth yellow card so he's suspended.
02:26There'll have to be a change in defence but Everton will welcome Armando Grosjean back.
02:31He couldn't play against his parent club.
02:33Maybe they can get Dwight McNeil back as well.
02:36Everton fans, a lot was made of a tough December but two really valuable points in the bag
02:42had ended Everton 0-0 Chelsea.
