00:00I'm Jack, I'm 18 and I play golf in Scotland.
00:03I'm basically here at Fort Rose and Rosemary as my main golf course.
00:06I'm off to Chicago, the University of DePaul to play college golf next year.
00:10I've just been playing golf for the last 6-7 years on the circuit, playing a lot of tournaments
00:15and just heard a lot about college golf, it's something I wanted to do.
00:19I always kind of enjoyed school and sport and then got in touch with an agency a year ago maybe
00:25and they've helped me by speaking to coaches and then passing their numbers on to me
00:28and then I just spoke to the coach and yeah, it's all come around pretty quickly
00:32but it's always something I've wanted to do and I've now signed the papers and I'm off next year.
00:36I first heard about this coach in October, not long ago at all.
00:40Usually the guys are speaking to coaches a lot earlier than that
00:43and kind of having a different kind of chats with different coaches
00:46and I had that before but nothing really went through very well
00:49and then spoke with one coach and basically enjoyed who he was
00:56and then he offered me the scholarship and it was kind of hard to say no in such a beautiful place.
01:00I'm actually leaving on the 30th of this month, so I am going before the new year
01:05but I do start school on the 6th of next year.
01:08Obviously I'm a bit nervous, I'm just a young boy from Och in a small town
01:14living up in the back roads to move into Chicago which has got a lot of people in it
01:18and yeah, it'll be a different lifestyle but I'm ready to take it on.
