00:38The priority of our President, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:41is to end hunger.
00:42So if you can remember, our program called Walang Gutom
00:46is the food stamps that are running
00:48wherein we give supplemental food credits.
00:51The program will help an old law that is not yet being implemented.
00:56This is Republic Act No. 9803
00:58or better known as the Food Donation Act of 2009
01:02which will save food surplus
01:04or excessive food from private companies
01:07which will be processed by DSWD in the food hub.
01:10700,000 food poor can be helped by this program of the government.
01:14First of all, the food bank will help the government
01:18and the private sector.
01:20Two problems can be solved in this program.
01:23Hunger and food wastage.
01:25Instead of just throwing away the food,
01:27many are hungry and they drop it here.
01:29We will make sure that our hungry countrymen
01:33can get food every day.
01:35But food experts will go through
01:37to ration the excess food
01:39so that the food can be saved.
01:41Is the food you're eating delicious?
01:42Yes.
01:43Really?
01:43When was the last time you ate like that?
01:46Just now.
01:47It's good here.
01:49In 80 years, they've been able to eat today
01:51but according to the project,
01:52the so-called food poor can eat every day
01:56like street children,
01:57our countrymen living in the streets,
01:59and anyone who's hungry.
02:01If you're hungry, you can come here.
02:04The hunger-free kitchen can be found
02:07in the Nasdaki Building in FB Harrison, Pasay
02:09which used to be a POGO facility
02:11which is now under the care of DSWD.
