Aaliyah Qureishi in an interview with IANS. She said, "I hope to be seen more often on screen! If you'd like to see more of me, please let me know in the comments. The recent gap in my appearances wasn't intentional; it was due to the post-production timeline. I'm hoping to announce new projects soon.”

00:00I hope so. If you want to see more of me, please comment below.
00:11Actually, there wasn't a long gap. We finished Bandish Bandits' shoot last year.
00:16It ended in June-July. Then there were some patchwork days for the shoot.
00:21But I think it took a year in post-production. So that's why there was a big gap.
00:27I'm working on it. But I don't have any control over the release date.
00:31So hopefully, more projects will come.
00:39Yes and no. Yes, because obviously, mainstream cinema is accessible for everyone.
00:45The theatre culture has been prevalent for a long time.
00:51And OTT has just started in the last 10-15 years.
00:55So I think definitely, yes, for the general public, all the films are more accessible.
01:01But no, because I think no one predicted the success of Bandish Bandits.
01:06I wasn't in season 1. But many actors and Anand sir directors said that
01:11they didn't expect that so many people would like this show so much.
01:16So they were surprised that it was so accessible to everyone. So I'm grateful for that.
01:27I think they go hand in hand pretty well.
01:34I think it's changing slowly. But no, I don't think so.
01:39I think it's a very male-dominated culture.
01:41And the hero-hero-hero has become a ghost for many people.
01:45And I understand that historically, heroes have gotten people to the theatres.
01:50But without a heroine, who will watch a film?
01:53So I think that needs to be given more importance.
01:56Priyanka Chopra has also said that it was the first time when she went to Hollywood
02:00that she got equal pay as compared to her male actors.
02:04So I think it's changing slowly. But I think we have a long way to go.
02:12Yeah, all the time. Trolling happens all the time.
02:16There was a scene in Bandish Bandits where Tamannaah and Soumya talked about trolling.
02:22So I think it definitely happens. But I chose this career. So it's not the worst thing.
02:27The main thing is to keep your mind clear.
02:30It's a good thing to dissociate from the public's opinion.
02:35So I try to do that in my life.
02:42Yeah, I did. And as a songwriter.
02:46Because I wrote this song with Soumya.
02:49And normally when I write a song,
02:52sometimes the lyrics come first and then the composition.
02:56But I always write the song according to my feelings.
03:02But in this, the brief was a little different.
03:05Because Anand sir said that I need a song like this for these scenes.
03:10So we had to kind of reverse engineer the whole song.
03:13So it was a lot of fun to do that.
03:15And then working with Soumya was a lot of fun.
03:17So we did lots of harmonies and lots of things.
03:20Because it was a song for both of us.
03:23So he had a lot of inputs that were very helpful for me as a singer.
03:26He gave me directions a lot of times when I was singing in the studio.
03:29You know, let's try this breathier. Let's try this more powerful.
03:32So I enjoyed the collaboration in this song.
03:41You know, I think AI should do something that human beings don't have to do.
03:49I mean, if AI starts doing things like art, culture,
03:54which is the duty of an artist to express human emotions,
04:01then what will be the fun in life?
04:03Use it to do automated jobs that no one wants to do.
04:06So we can focus on the higher things.
04:08I hope, I can't say anything because I can't see the future.
04:11But I hope it doesn't take over.
04:13Because I think robots will never understand humanity.
04:17And that's where we win.
