00:00But let's start with the news of the hour.
00:02Travis Hunter gets the big score.
00:04He's up on stage.
00:05He's thanking Coach Prime.
00:06He's thanking Lil' Wheezy, Lil' Wayne in the building.
00:09But I guess no real shock after it's all said and done there, Rich.
00:15Yeah.
00:15Hey, Dubs.
00:16Always great to be on with you.
00:17No, not a shock.
00:18Certainly over the last couple of weeks, you know, the books
00:21essentially took it off the board a couple of weeks ago.
00:24It was such a sure thing, but the vote actually wound up being
00:29closer than I thought.
00:30Ashton Gente, closest vote in over a decade.
00:34So he did compete hard, finishing in second place.
00:38I think when we go back to like this time last year, when we
00:42were talking, Dubs, about, you know, 2024 ridiculously early
00:47candidates, I think what really stood out to me is just some
00:51of the names that wound up on the top 10.
00:53Just look at some of these names here.
00:56Was anybody talking about Cam Scadabow, Bryson Daly from Army?
01:00I love the fact that voters celebrated a pure tight end in
01:04Tyler Warren, Curtis Rourke, the transfer from Ohio, Kyle
01:09McCord, another transfer from Ohio State at Syracuse, finishes
01:14in the top 10.
01:15A lot of the familiar faces that we expected.
01:17No Jalen Milrow, no Carson Beck, no Jackson Dart.
01:21In fact, no SEC players for the first time since 2005.
01:27So a really interesting vote, but hard to deny Travis Hunter.
01:32I mean, I don't know if we will see anytime soon a two-way
01:36player as talented as Hunter on offense or defense.
01:40Either way, he was a game changer.
01:43Yeah, and you know, interested to get your thoughts here, Rich,
01:45for Travis Hunter, truly phenomenal.
01:48May never see that kind of talent level at the college ranks
01:51ever again. Two-way, dual, superstop.
