This subscription-free competitor to the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring is one of the first finger-based smart wearables with onboard ECG readings and FDA-cleared AFib detection. With a focus on 24/7 health monitoring and actionable wellness insights, the ring provides detailed sleep reports, daily energy level estimates, helpful workout recovery tips and more. Another big selling point: Unlike Oura and Samsung, Circular Ring 2 users don’t need to purchase a sizing kit for $10 to guarantee a perfect fit. Dan tested the brand’s new Virtual Sizing tool, which requires only your smartphone camera and an Internet connection, to get exact measurements for each of his fingers.

00:04This just-released smart ring beats two of the best smart rings currently on the market,
00:08the Aura Ring 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Ring, in two key ways.
00:13Let's get into it.
00:14You're probably familiar with ECG readings.
00:16Most modern smartwatches can do it, but this is the first time, or one of the first times,
00:20the feature has been available in a finger-based wearable.
00:23It's even FDA-cleared for AFib detection.
00:26Now if you're trying to keep tabs on your sleep quality, I think that this is a lot
00:29easier to wear to bed than this.
00:32It also has a lot longer battery life than an Apple Watch.
00:34This bad boy lasts up to six days, which is just a little bit less than Aura and Samsung.
00:38Another key selling point is its virtual sizing feature, which I'll show you in just a second.
00:43Price-wise, it costs the same as the Aura Ring, $349, but it doesn't require a subscription.
00:49It's also cheaper than the Galaxy Ring, which starts at $399.
00:52That said, pricing increases depending on your choice of finish, with a maximum price
00:56of $549.
00:58With up to six days of battery life and highly detailed wellness and sleep tracking insights,
01:03it's well-positioned to be one of the smart rings to beat in 2025.
01:07Using your phone's camera and the app, you simply take a picture of your hand next to
01:11a credit card, and AI does all the work figuring out what size your ring should be.
01:15This is our sleep score, which is a 95, which is obviously optimal.
01:20We can see when we went to bed and when we woke up, sleep duration, disturbances, circadian
01:27rhythm notes, REM sleep notes, insights into deep sleep, and much more.
01:33You can even have a look at your different sleep cycles and the various stages and how
01:37they progress throughout the night.
01:39So now we're going to look at our energy score, which is tied to the sleep score, but also
01:42looks at daily activity to give you an idea of how much energy you have for the day.
01:4787's a pretty good score.
01:51These are the parameters it's based on.
01:53This data is useful because it gives you an idea of what kind of challenges you can take
01:56on for the day.
01:57If you have a higher score, you're probably good to go out and do a big workout, but if
02:01your score is too low, you might want to take it easy and rest.
