Shot Scope was born out of a desire to play better golf. David, our founder and CEO invented the technology to improve his own game, reducing his handicap from 16 to 5 using Shot Scope. Our team of rookies, amateurs and ex-professional golfers strive to create a product that you can’t go golfing without.
Founded in Scotland – the home of golf, by a team with a global mindset. Our heritage and obsession to become better golfers made us who we are today – with Shot Scope quickly becoming the brand of choice with players alike in 160 countries worldwide.

Founded in 2014 by David Hunter, former Electronics Engineer and High School Teacher
The company design and manufacture subscription free, game-enhancing, technology such as GPS watches, Golf Laser Rangefinders, and Shot Tracking devices for golfers.
Company recently raised a further $8.5 million of Series B funding to scale US market
Shot Scope has relocated to a new headquarters on the outskirts of Edinburgh to accommodate the growing team of marketing, sales, and customer service experts. Creating jobs in Scotland and will support Shot Scope’s ambitious plans to scale operations and deliver game-changing technology to a worldwide audience.

00:00ShotScope is GPS, laser range finder and shot tracking products.
00:07Our technology allows golfers to get accurate distance and also automatically collects all their shots, all their data as they play.
00:16Small tags are entered into the top of each grip and then the golfer wears one of our shot tracking products,
00:23goes out and plays and we automatically collect every single shot.
00:27Then the golfer can view everything about their game in our app where they can see a hundred stats, analytics and insights about that round.
00:37And we track that for every single round that the golfer plays.
00:41The idea was born out of my own golf game. I used to collect all my own stats, analytics, insights.
00:47I actually used to have eight notebooks for all different areas of the game.
00:52Long shots, approach play, putting, chipping.
00:55And at the end of each week I would gather all my data and manually enter it into spreadsheets and software that I developed myself.
01:03And I just realised there was a better way of gathering this data, a simpler way, an easier way.
01:08And I started to work in developing the technology.
01:11It took us four years to refine and develop the technology to where it is today.
01:16And we now have a team of 35 based here in Scotland.
01:19ShotScope is one of the market leaders in the UK.
01:22We have over 300,000 users that regularly update their data and enter their data into the system.
01:28And we're now expanding globally with a focus on the USA and North America.
01:33Our team in Scotland are based at our headquarters in Edinburgh.
01:38And from Edinburgh we are looking to grow the business globally.
