B-Boys face off on the Dubai dancefloor
Transcript
00:00Battling face to face on the dance floor, some of the best young Arab breakdancers or
00:14b-boys as they prefer to be called, were showing off their skills at the Red Bull Lord of the
00:19Street event at Festival City.
00:21There were talented dancers from across the Arab world who flew into Dubai just for the
00:26event.
00:27Among them a crew of dancers from Oman, including 12-year-old Saleh.
00:32Judging the face off was world champion b-boy Ronnie.
00:36I really enjoyed the scene out here.
00:39The thing I see that's unique about the b-boys out here is that you can tell they have a
00:42lot of heart, they have a lot of passion.
00:46On the vinyl was 18-year-old Zila from Tunis who pulled off some impressive moves to claim
00:51the single b-boy competition.
00:53I didn't really like the floor because it's kind of slippery and stuff but anyways, much
00:58respect to all the b-boys for keeping it real.
01:01The breakers pushed each other to the limit in front of a packed crowd and with the adrenaline
01:05flowing it flared up into a heated contest.
01:09The dancers stayed in Dubai for a couple of extra days for a workshop, then it's straight
01:13to Bahrain to show off their skills at the next Lord of the Street event.
