00:08At the moment, the volcano is erupting in Negros Island. For an update, we will talk to the phone line of Phivox Director Teresito or Dr. Teresito Bacolcol. Good afternoon sir Bacolcol.

00:20Yes ma'am. Good afternoon to you.

00:23What is your assessment regarding the eruption or activity of the volcano and what is our alert level now?

00:30We are now at alert level 3 and we expanded the danger zone from the PGC which is 4 kilometers to 6 kilometers above now.

00:41Partly details earlier, the eruption reached 3,000 meters and it lasted for 7 minutes from 3.03 to 3.10.

00:54Under alert level 3 sir, what is the effect of this? What is the impact of this? Can you explain this?

01:03Alert level 3 is a high level of volcanic unrest and again, one of the crucial things would be the expansion of the danger zone from 4 kilometers to 6 kilometers.

01:18We are advising the LGUs to evacuate people living within the 6 kilometer danger zone.

01:27As of now, the evacuation of people living within the 6 kilometer danger zone is ongoing. Is that correct?

01:33Yes, it is ongoing. That is our advice, to evacuate people living within the 6 kilometer radius of the volcano.

01:45What are we expecting in the next minutes or hours after this activity?

01:51We would expect from time to time that there will be an eruption like this.

01:56Again, we are advising our countrymen to be prepared in case the activity of the volcano escalates further.

02:32Yes. From June 3, we raised it from alert level 1 to alert level 2.

02:51Now sir, should we expect ashfall? What should we expect in terms of the impact on the health and safety of the people there?

03:02Yes. We would expect ashfall in the vicinity of Tanaon Volcano. So far now, we are spreading information.

03:11It's unpredictable in our direction, but most likely, based on the prevailing direction,

03:19on the southern side of Tanaon Volcano, if there are communities there, the ashfall of Tanaon Volcano might fall there.

03:27We are advising them to wear a face mask because if they inhale the ash, it may irritate their respiratory system.

04:00Meanwhile, the Social Security System has issued a fund of P32 billion for the 13th month and December pension of their pensioners.

04:10According to the SSS Officer-in-Charge, Voltaire P. Agas,

04:14they are also postponing the issuance of the 13th month and December pensions as early Christmas.

04:20As of now, the first batch of pensioners received P17.9 billion in benefits on November 29,

04:29while the second batch was distributed on December 4, which was sponsored by 1.52 million pensioners.

04:38P41.6 million was also distributed through non-peso net participating banks and cheques.

04:47President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. signed the bill that will amend some permissions in the Rice Certification Law.

04:56Under Republic Act No. 12078, the visa of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund or RCEF will be extended until 2031,

05:06which is scheduled to end in 2024.

05:09From the current P10 billion, RCEF increased to P30 billion.

05:15It will be used as a part of the free rice that can provide high yields.

05:21Financial assistance, irrigation, and other assistance to farmers will also be provided.

05:28This law empowers our farmers to thrive and to help our country secure a stable food supply.

05:35By increasing investments in agriculture, providing more resources, and creating a more competitive rice industry,

05:42we are laying the groundwork for a stronger, more self-sufficient Philippines.

05:56Good afternoon. Davao City Police Office met with the public on the current holiday season.

06:03Along with the firecrackers that have been banned for decades,

06:08the City Ordinance No. 060-02, or more specifically, the Firecracker Ban, was passed.

06:20The ban includes fireworks and other improvised fireworks.
